Yeah, not saying it's impossible for him to have good games against good defensive teams, but you can tell he struggles against teams with good rim defenders.

I'd rather have burks than ariza. Burks is younger and had improved mightily this year. Just think what a good coach could do with him.

Yesterday against an elite rim protector i saw Alec kill hibbert with a euro step, and destroy him with his in the air change up shot.

His bad shooting percentage yesterday was mostly due to his jumper being off. (1-6 from outside yesterday)
If his jumper would have been on then he would have been his normal efficient self against a great defense.
(also he still doesnt get the calls against a good team and good players like the pacers...... he should have had a couple more trips to the free throw line but the refs dont think of him as a starter caliber player in the league yet)

He is still 4/10 from the field w/ only 2 FT attempts without taking any jump shots. And Hibbert only played 19 minutes in the game. Alec was getting locked out by Mahini.

Both nice layups he made came early then they adjusted and he pretty much got nothing at the rim after that besides a tip shot off a rebound in the closing minutes of the 1st half and an easy layup on a fast break (I think?).

That he is a good player, but not on Hayward's level.

Burks has a higher ceiling.
Hayward has had more opportunity.
Both players need to improve.
