Jabari Says it Would be a Blessing to be a Laker... SMYH

jabari isnt going 6th in this draft, so it is a moot point unless they get extremely lucky

Throughout the draft process, you will also hear every prospective player throw around words like 'blessing', 'honor', etc. in a vain attempt to further their draft position and maximize the amount of money they can hear. Take the draft's biggest party animal who will be clubbing every night and throwing bills at pole dancers and doing lines of coke off the small of their back at their hotel, ask them prior to being drafted what they think of Utah and they'll say 'They have a rich tradition there in Utah. I would be blessed to play for them and it'd be an honor to put on that uniform'.

Every prospect is a used car salesmen right now - don't overreact to everything that they say as they'll change their tone on a dime.

I'm sure any prospect would be happy to play in the city of Utah, or is that the state of Salt Lake?

Jabari should be expelled from the temple or whatever for this statement. hyperventile EVERYBODY.... NOW!
Ok, that was fake!

LA has a very nice temple. But c'mon, Lakers are so last decade. Jabari needs to play for the Clippers. Even the grade school kids here in LA hate the Lakers. You don't see purple and gold anywhere. It's such a wonderful, wonderful world!

Why would this man not want learning from Kobe Bryant and money? Best career move he can make is Los Angels get lucky by draft lottory.

If I were a young player, I'm not sure I'd want to learn from Kobe. The guy doesn't seem to have the patience to be a good teacher. It might end up being a very competitive relationship for someone like Jabari. Look what happened with Howard.

It would be.

You know how much more money you can make from being a Laker compared to being on the Jazz, Bucks, Magic, etc.?

Honestly, if I was a big time athlete and not an extreme Jazz fan, I would want to be on the Lakers.

i agree, but we've seen a small market player be one of the 3 face of the franchise - KD. but in order for jabari to be like KD, he needs to be top 3-4 player in the NBA, and just need to bring excitement.

honestly, Jabari seems too nice of a guy. he has a tim duncan in him which is good for the team, but not good for marketing IMO. i'm not sure if he will ever be that guy who will be all over the magazines and has his own shoe like kobe, bron, and kd. maybe he will if he becomes a legit 30pt scorer.

I would have to say Kobe's problems with Howard is that Howard is one, among a decent handful, of pseudo stars. That is, guys with phenomenal talent but lack a significant amount of mental and emotional strength to make them elite competitors. It's those intangibles that legitimately separate guys like McGrady from Kobe or Howard from Duncan. I would no anticipate any problems with Kobe and Jabari. I would, however, anticipate potential problems between Kobe and Wiggins.
