What's new

This is Our Time: April 14 - Los Angeles Lakers @ Utah Jazz - 7pm MT

I think it is a given that the three teams to finish right behind us will finish 1, 2 and 3 in the lottery, knocking us to 7th. We just have bad Karma right now. Still good players to be had at 7.

Burks and Kanter showing what they can do! This is what I was expecting the whole season, averaging around 80 points in the starting lineup and then having no bench.

So to confirm here, and the actual lottery process not withstanding:

We're 4th. Boston 5th. Lakers 6th.

If we lose to the Wolves, we stay 4th.
If we beat the Wolves, and Boston loses to the Spurs we're in a tie-breaker with them for 4th.

Is that right?

Trey "Tank" Burke: 7-20. Thank you!!!
Wouldn't it be ironic if BPA was Marcus Smart and he came in and took Trey's job?

Correct.

If orlando wins their last game and we lose ours then we will be tied for 3rd too...

Yes, the Lakers are 2 games ahead of us with 1 game to play. So it's down to us and the Celts for 4th.

Yes.
We've gone from worrying about teams like Detroit and Sacramento and ending up 8th/9th to no worse than a tie for 4th. Too bad Indiana is still fighting for home court. Otherwise they'd rest everyone on the road at Orlando.

Yes but I think the tie breaker only matters after the balls have been drawn. Both teams have equal chances at hitting the lottery. The coin toss would then decide who goes 4 and 5 if neither team hits the lottery.
