Just watched the first episode. Pretty amazing if you ask me and I'm not big into horrors, but dang I couldn't stop watching. You can stream the first episode on showtime if you missed it or haven't heard of it

I was planning on watching that. Thanks for the heads up. Gonna catch it when it re-airs.

I won't judge the series on the first episode, but I was underwhelmed by it. I hoped for a lot more. Hopefully it's just a slow starter.

What is the premise?

I watched it and I'm hooked, for now. Let's hope that it lives up to its promise from the first episode.

I've also gotten into DaVinci's Demons and Black Sails on Starz. Too many good shows on TV, cable, and internet these days that it's impossible to stay up with them all.

What more did you want from the first episode of a series? It's not a movie.

I was hoping for a little more excitement, a "wow" episode. I'm not judging anything by the first episode but I just thought it was an underwhelming first episode. FTR, I thought the same about the first "Game of Thrones" episode and the first "Band of Brothers" episode. Both became all-time favorites of mine.

I thought it was good. Had at least four major events. The only thing that sucked imo was the character development, but it's a series so that will come.

Watched the trailer. Another vampire show with homo-erotic undertones. Gritty Twilight, if you will.

So about 4 episodes in, and just can't get into it. So many tired cliches acting as if they are new. So many worn out characters with nothing new to say. Hey Frankenstein, build me a wife now, will ya? Uh-oh this weird thing might not be human. I wondered, where the hell are the werewolves, and there they were on cue. Then I thought, that guy will let one bite him, then guess what happened? I thought they needed another supernatural gothic horror character to round things out, and we got Dorian Gray. Yay.

This is a long drawn out League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with penises and boobs. Haven't decided if I will continue watching, but decidedly underwhelmed so far.

3 episodes in and I like it. Just needs to develop characters right since they introduced so many already.

Not if you like homo-erotic undertones. And by the way it jumped from undertones to flat out gay.

Yeah it did.

Unless this season is 24 episodes long, they're running out of time to develop their characters.. I like the show. I could love the show. But I feel like I don't know anyone well enough to truly understand them.

Yeah it's heavy on mood and setup and light on plot and character. Not usually a good combo.
