Anyone with an internet connection has probably already seen the Vine of 'shovel girl'. Here is the original video, with the 'incident' coming about 6:20 in, in case you haven't seen it. The girl who got the shovel thrown at her now has 42,000 followers on Twitter. It was all worth it.

What I find is amusing is that both girls put up their fists like they're going to punch each other and then start slapping and hair pulling. Then they stop around 3:25 and redo their hair for a good minute before starting to fight again. This "fight" needed some mud.

lol - I did like the no hair-pulling stipulation, and as soon as fight started hair-pulling ensued from both sides.

That must have been a pretty nasty fight.

The thrower is lucky she didn't kill or seriously injured the other girl. A blow to the back of the head/neck is a dice-throw away from death or paralysis. I actually thought it is a pretty sad scene.

I had heard that the girl actually died from it due to brain injuries. Her head hits pretty hard.

this is why one should train grappling.
fists are not always the answer.
better, combine BJJ (or judo or sambo or wrestling) with an efficient striking like muay thai (or boxing or kyokushin karate)

Isn't hair pulling the inflection point in a chick fight when anything officially goes? I think at the point you pull out the old self defense moves - groin and eyes. You're going to win any situation where you attack those things. Especially when the person you're fighting clearly doesn't have any skills to protect those areas. And if they can protect those areas decently, all you need to know is how to attack nerves.

If you are in a fight those areas are open for attack immediately. I don't need someone to go for my vulnerable parts first. If I am fighting I am fighting to win. Not to honor some foolish notion of honor during a fight. Joints, fingers, privates, kidneys...all great targets.
