Isn't hair pulling the inflection point in a chick fight when anything officially goes? I think at the point you pull out the old self defense moves - groin and eyes. You're going to win any situation where you attack those things. Especially when the person you're fighting clearly doesn't have any skills to protect those areas. And if they can protect those areas decently, all you need to know is how to attack nerves.

If you are in a fight those areas are open for attack immediately. I don't need someone to go for my vulnerable parts first. If I am fighting I am fighting to win. Not to honor some foolish notion of honor during a fight. Joints, fingers, privates, kidneys...all great targets.

Let's call a spade a spade here (and no, that is not racialist, so look up the origin of the phrase before reporting it as such).
The fight was basically over until the one girl grabbed the shovel. And then the other turned and ran to avoid getting hit. She was in retreat, back turned when the girl launched the shovel at her.
If the side of that shovel had hit an angle - or harder - there could have been more serious, even permanent damage (or death).
Definitely need to have assault charges filed.
 
Glad the camera dude has a first aid kit at his house.
