You're starting to sound like an apologist. The guy worked for BYU two decades and when he left it was on his term. Read the quote from Bronco on how much he would be missed. Whether Bronco knew or not is still unknown but to trivialize it by saying.. other programs do this.. or the dude doesn't work there anymore.. to your final assumption ..BYU took care of it. How actually did they take care of it? The guy left on his own.

Sorry but if BYU promotes a squeaky clean imagine and makes students sign an Honor code then this type of behavior shouldn't just be dismissed as minor nor as a non news story. Certainly, more will come of the investigation, but whether he knew or not it doesn't look good for BYU or Bronco. Both are bad, a liar or being incompetent.

Well as the system is now setup, it opens the door for paying students to come to your school. Scholarship students get room and board so if they can get cheap rent then they can pocket the rest. So to say what the big deal is, the deal opens the doors for corruption. Personally, I blame the NCAA because they are the major part of the problem with hoarding all the money they make. However, the system is the system that each school agrees to abide by and therefore BYU is going to get punished if the accusations are true.

Maybe you think I'm just talking about people in this thread making a big deal out of this, but it's more of the knuckle-heads on the AM radio that I wish I could turn off, but I have an addiction to listening to local sports talk radio.

Btw, thanks for talking to me right after you said you wouldn't. Yes, I know I'm weird and have the emotional stability of a 14 year old girl on the rag, but I still love you, guy. I have your back.

It's more about people like you following the sheep mentality of BYU can do no wrong. I guess we'll see when the NCAA does their own investigation.
 
i havent read the thread... but these alleged violations, if true, are MUCH bigger than most realize.

To set the record straight, I don't need some major punishment for BYU in order for me to feel happy. Hell, EVERY school has stuff like this going on. I just find amusement in the fact that whatever was happening, it brings to light yet again that BYU is steeped in hypocrisy. All we hear about is the higher standards, the way Bronco wants things done, blah blah blah and at the end of the day, they're no different. I also REALLY like BYU fan girls flipping out on sports radio personalities because they feel picked on.

The next time local sports media gets wind of a potential negative story about BYU, they better think twice about reporting it. Cougar fans have proven to be some pretty nasty keyboard warriors.

Not every school suspends thier best running back of all time for his senior year for having sex with his girlfriend that he has been with since high school and is engaged to. (Harvy unga)

Dont forget the suspension of brandon davies and not letting him play in the ncaa tournament for having sex with a girl.

Spencer hadley goes to a strip club..... suspension time.

I think byu is a little different from other schools.
Are they as perfect as they claim to be? Nope. They are definately different though, and i hate it.

As a byu fan who has tatoos, drinks, watches inappropiate movies, etc etc i sure am jealous that byu basically has no shot at 90 percent of high school football players in the country due to the honor code. (I pulled the 90 percent from my ***)

I sure would like byu to have more speed (brothas) on the field
