there are far more efficient ways of traveling.

there is absolutly zero reason for that.

rather they donate the money to some project in afrika to get Agriculture going. there must be ways to grow **** in the desert

The Cog train up Pikes Peak is the best little side trip I've ever taken. We got some spectacular views of the plains, could see the "curvature of the earth" over Kansas on the horizon, and then we went into the clouds and got snowed on.

This is what private engineering can do if the government can just be made to get out of the way.

Because they are practical, prudent folks with Confucian values concealed beneath globalist pretensions. Yeah, they might be for "World Peace", or "World Order", with infinite impositions on the human cattle just like the Rockefellers or the Brit Royals, but when they are sure of their hand, they'll be the top dogs.

A 100 million man army is the sort of thing you just point at and say "March". A tunnel and a few bowls of rice, and they could be raiding the fridges all over North America.
