My draft day All Hell Breaks Loose Thread

This thread is for the most insane draft day theories ever.

Cleveland - they want to win now. Kevin Love to Minnesota for #1, Waiters, and Varejao.

Pick #1: Minnesota: Minny has Rubio and Pekovic. They take Jabari Parker. Their starting five is now Rubio, Martin, Parker, Varejao, Pekovic. Their bench is Barea, Waiters, Budinger. Not too shabby. They might compete for a playoff spot and they have Parker to build around.

Pick #2: Milwaukee - Embiid. Nothing to see here.

Pick #3: Philly has youth. They have a plan. They are set at the C position and nowhere else (with rumors of Philly considering trading MCW). This is where Utah makes their move. Lindsay knows it's here or tank another year. Utah throws the WORLD at Philly. Philly wants cap space and flexibility. They believe that if Noel pans out, plus they add another All Star this draft, they can get their superstar through free agency.

Philly trades #3 and #10 to Utah. Utah trades #5, GS pick, Burke, Kanter and Burks. This gives Philly a starting lineup of Burke or MCW, Burks, Young (Kanter off the bench) and Noel. Very young, with potential, with chips to trade (Young and Burke or MCW). Utah takes Wiggins #3.

Pick #4: Orlando: They now have to pick between Exum and Smart. The Lakers call up Orlando, offer cash, their pick, mulitple firsts, backroom handshakes and an approving nod from Silver. Orlando makes the deal. Lakers take Exum.

Pick #5: Philly: Philly has the starting lineup of MCW/Burke, Burks, ????, Young/Kanter, Noel. They look good at PG and C. SF, SG and PF look shaky. Philly knows that they are still a few years away, and they go after the most potential at this point. Vonleh. That sets them up for the future with three different positions: PG, PF, C. They can now bring in a max player and a 3D player at SF and SG.

Pick #6: Boston doesn't want this pick. They want to win. They want to impress LeBron or Carmello. They trade this pick to....Chicago. Chicago trades Boozer, #16, #19 for #6. Boston gets solid players to fill out their bench, and gets a legit PF to lure a FA in to play with Rondo and Boozer. Chicago gets rid of Boozer and gets a player to go with Rose and Noah: Julius Randle. He can step in right away, score, and help Chicago battle Miami by creating mismatches down low.

Pick #7: The Magic finally pick. They get their guy (and a good feeling knowing they will win the lottery in the near future for dealing kindly to the Lakers): Smart.

Pick #8: Sacramento. They take Saric. They hope to convince him to come over now, and join Gay, Cousins and Thomas to make their run.

Pick #9: New Orleans needs a SF. Gordon needs a team. Done deal.

Pick #10: Utah Jazz: They need shooting. Lots and lots of shooting. McDermott can shoot.

Everyone gets what they want from this draft:

Minnesota gets the ROY, good press, and an immediate impact player.
Cleveland gets an All-Star so they can convince Love and Irving to stick around.
Milwaukee gets the next Hakeem, so they can develop him ala Kareem and have him leave to LA in 7 years.
Philly gets young vets, big time potential frontcourt with Noel and Vonleh, future first, cap space, and a replacement for MCW if the right trade comes along.
Lakers get Exum.
Orlando gets Smart.
NO gets great potential next to Davis.
Sacramento gets to ruin another potential star.
Boston gets a legit player from day one and a chance at another Garnett, Allen, Pierce.
Chicago gets cap space, a chance at Carmello (Rose, ???, Carmello, Randle, Noah).

Everyone wins in this scenario, right?

The best news is Utah gets what they need. They now have:

PG: (trade #23 and 32 for a starting vet PG)/Neto
SG: Hayward
SF: Wiggins
PF: Favors/McDermott
C: Tomic/Gobert

Their future is now Wiggins, Favors, Gobert, McDermott. They are freakishly long. They have defense with Favors, Gobert and Wiggins. They have shooting in McDermott, Hayward, and Wiggins. They have scoring.

Ahhh, a man can dream, can't he?

Now, back to your regularly scheduled Kanter bashing.

It would suck to be green.

I was studying for the Dumb *** Test (DAT) several years back for like a day and a half when this exact thought jumped into my head. It's been a better life ever since.

I honestly wonder if green is this ******* jazz fan I schooled with who no one in the class could figure out how he got into grad school.

(J/K green you know I <3 you)

McDermott really isn't a power forward.
