What's new

Isn't there a clear difference between Dennis Lindsey and Kevin O'Connor ?

I would trade young skilled 7 footer nr 2 pick for Stauskas in a second given a chance ( if you know which 2d draft pick I am talking).
How high player was selected has nothing to do with his value. Do you think Kanter would go as high now after we had seen him for 3 years in NBA? T.Thompson, D.Williams, Kanter, Vesely, Byombo - all this guys would not go where they went. They were all overvalued prior to the draft. While Valanciunas, Klay Thompson, Walker, Leonard, Vucevic, Parsons would certainly be selected higher.

I read an interesting bit from Toronto, who said they had Leonard #2 on their draft board behind Valanciunas (I'm guessing of players still available) but they may not have taken Leonard if Valanciunas was gone because it would have been a tough sell to the fans.

I wonder how much the perceived fan opinion plays into the decision making of some teams.

What? He averages 12/8 on 50% shooting. He is young and hasn't even touched his potential. You are going to give up on a young big man that will average 20/10 for Nik Friggin Stauskus?

Kanter has his limitations. He still has yet to prove he should have went 3rd overall. I'd take Kay Thompson over him in a heartbeat now.

Kanter has some promise too, but his lack of athleticism and his bone head plays worry me.

Shocking.

Too bad no team in the NBA would've taken Klay Thompson 3rd in that draft. I also saw 0 people anywhere that strongly expressed their belief that Klay Thompson would be as good as he has become.

Agree. Not willing to give up on him yet, though. I think he was a broken man under Corbin last year and lost a ton of confidence. Also, the constant mention of the Jazz being 0 for "X" with Kanter as a starter, as if that was the ENTIRE reason for the team losing.

My biggest question for the draft and the offseason is how does DOL value the KOC players Burks and Kanter.

im very curious to know this as well.

I think it's more that GM'S rely too much on mock drafts and those rankings. Which is pretty dumb. Why not just pick your guy. I don't like the idea of having to take who is ranked around your spot. History shows that just doesn't work out anyways most of the time.

The point was that Kanter isn't necessarily worth the 3rd overall selection. Which means you can't expect to get that value for him.

How about you dim those cynical aspergers glasses bro. You might find life more enjoyable.

most overrated/undeserving All star besides Bosh last year. That those two slackers made it over big Al is travesty.

Yeah bro. Chris bosh totally sucks. I'm still mad he left the raptors too. Exum is going to turn out just like him. Just sucking all the time and never winning titles.

Hibbert had a very good 1st half of the season. And that's all that really matters in terms of the AS game. But yeah, I agree...Big Al should have made it.

What Exum has to do with Bosh? Talk about Milicic than you will make some sense.

Didn't read your post at all, but KOC was working under Jerry Sloan. He had to adapt his style to Sloan. DL is in a position where he molds the team, so he has the ultimate power on how we look. KOC never had that besides the Deron deal, which was a great deal. Don't think KOC was conservative as much as he was limited by his situation.

So milicic and bosh are the same players? I thought bosh still started for the heat?

Dude are you stupid or just pretending to be? I never compared Milicic to Bosh what is wrong with you? I said Exum has same bust potential like Milicic or other mystery overvalued international players with "star potential" aka Vesely, Yi, Byombo, Tzikitishvili, etc.
