Following potential 2014 draftees

Position names don't matter. Gordon can defend 3's, so he can play the 3. If you have a stretch big man who can extend defenses, you can afford to play Gordon. If we have Kanter shooting 3's, having Gordon not being a 3pt shooter right away isn't a huge deal.

I think a general rule of thumb is you want 3 shooters on the floor at all times, you can get away with 2 and having 4 is great if the defense is up to par, but 3 is the number all teams should strive for.

The only "knucklehead" thing Smart has ever done is push a fat *** fan.

Cy's wearing those Rose-Colored glasses yet again.

Marcus Smart had a meltdown during the West Virginia game this year, after being subbed out late in the game with a stat line of 4points on 1-7 shooting. He got to the bench and stomped on a chair, was fuming mad, inconsolable, and barking at the refs just like he was after the TTU incident.

It was also said at the combine, that teams weren't happy with his explanation of the TTU incident.

We are on an internet forum, no one cares about your personal life story. It's cool that you are successful at what you do, but it's embarrassing that you feel the need to brag about it to people on the internet who don't care about it at all.

you care enough to read and try to disparage it.

you call me dumb right? how the **** am i so dumb that i made all that **** happen for myself, with no help?

who are you to pass judgement on me?

Im a nobody, just like you.

George Bush is dumb as **** and he became the President. Crazy **** happens.

Read it cuz it was posted and I read stuff that is posted on Jazzfanz, no matter how dumb. I still read The Thriller and Fabtrey's post. I don't know why. I guess I take pleasure in self-torture.

Who am I to judge? I'm a dude on the internet.

The Jazz need some fire on this team.

More on Randles foot

Randle suffered the broken right foot in the second game of his senior season at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Texas and a screw was inserted into the foot.

According to several team executives, the 6-foot-9 Kentucky forward's broken right foot hasn't healed correctly

I feel bad for the kid but this pretty much kills any interest in me for him. I had just a small amount but heck maybe he is there at 23.

Don't worry he's denying all claims that he needs foot surgery.

Plus his godfather said this:

"Julius Randle’s Godfather says the former Kentucky star does not need foot surgery.

“No, he’s not having no surgery,” Jeff Webster told SNY.tv Thursday by phone. “There ain’t nothing wrong with his foot.

“It’s 100 percent false.”"

I'm not sure if he needs surgery or not after all of those double negatives.

The other factor that is hard to evaluate is complacency. Many players have "hunger" through their rookie contracts, then they get the big paycheck and just stop working. That was evident with AK.

Yes that is why I mentioned humans, being complex creatures. Some players have fake hunger like you mention and that is why drafting players can be tough to do.

The thing that worries me about Exum is that he hasn't played in a competitive league ever, just tournaments.

Picture if Andrew Harrison took the same route. If you look back in the thread, people thought Harrison was a sure-fire top 5 pick. It turns out he isn't even worth a look in the lottery. The same thing could have happened with Exum. It's just hard to know until you actually see them competing game after game in a full season. He could be the best player in the draft, or he could be awful.
