I was an early investor in NFLX and AAPL too, way back... In more recent years ive hit homeruns loading up on KORS and DNKN at their respective IPO's. Im involved in all sectors, a Pharma company VRTX was a big winner for me. I hated APPL at 700+ and dumped my full position, Then was heavily buying the dips around 400, also i picked up some FB in the 20$ range last year after it flopped. at the end of 2012 i was screaming from the hills to buy the banks, JPM and BA specifically. They say you cant call bottoms, ive made a killing doing it. I was buying Transocean (RIG), right after the oil spill
even better than that I've helped people close to me make plenty of $$ on the way too. on the christmas cards i sent to my friends in 2011 i told everyone to buy the **** out of KORS during the IPO,the stock has almost quadrupled since then.
I never needed a penny from anyone after 17, i was crushing it in underground poker rooms in brooklyn around that age and working as a butcher by day. so i dropped out of HS due to legal troubles related to truancy and moved in with my dad in Brooklyn. shortly thereafter I started 'trading' with $2,000 buying penny stocks for fun from the back of my dads shop during slower hours. I doubled it in less than 2months, cashed out the original 2k and have been playing with winnings ever since. fast-forward not even 10 years and im already living off dividends. so who the **** are you calling dumb, really dude, im killin' it. enjoy your dayjob.
its not in my best interests to talk about this stuff. But if you understand that i wasnt handed a penny, im 100% self-taught. Look at the chronology of the 1st paragraph and know that my father died at 49 in the summer of 2010, after i promised him i was going to hit it big. At this point most people find what ive accomplished quite amazing. I feel how i always felt 'im just getting started'
I was one of the more misbehaved juvenile delinquents youd ever find, i had a probation officer in 7th grade, a HS dropout, my story defies many terrible statistics. i was also an eagle scout and leader of my troop at 13 years old with 100+ merit badges. I got a 1400 on my SAT's and never did any homework, ever, in school, im a beast at taking tests and my memory is/was rather sharp so i got thru the grades doing absolute bare-minimum.
maybe that helps explain why i dont react well to being needled? Im used to putting my $$ where my mouth is on a daily basis. I defend the **** out of my positions with every ounce of my lifeforce, thats how i got by.
I honestly wouldent argue with someone over 1,000's of dollars the way ive argued about the dumb **** on this forum. but for me its best i dont overthink things and dwell too much, so ill play a stupid game or click over to Jazzfanz to blow off some steam and get my mind off of real decisions for a few minutes. Im literally up all hours of the day, everyday running on rocket fuel. I've got so many screens and flashing lights in my apartment ive started to wear sunglasses. thats why my grammar isnt ****, not that it ever was the best, i just simply dont care.
