Jazz have "zeroed in" on Jabari Parker

Have a hard time envisioning how leaking Jabari as a smokescreen would be beneficial. It doesn't really help them if they want to move up. It doesn't help them if they want to move down. I doubt it's going to trick someone in the top 4 to take Jabari so that someone else 'falls' to us. Just not sure, unless we're looking to trade the pick for some player/asset and want the illusion that we really want to keep it.

In the first 30 seconds of the interview he mentions why he was the only media member not to vote LeBron as first team all-NBA. He put in Durant and Griffin. He's an attention whore.

Because they are wanting to trade with Milwaukee to get the second pick and want to put Philadelphia at ease that Wiggins will fall to them at 3 so they don't offer Milwaukee a better package. This works if they actually DO draft Parker, or especially well if they really want Wiggins.

According to Chris Sheridan, his draft expert on his site Joe Kotoch said the basis for trading up would be #5 and GS 17' 1st-round pick for #2. He added the Jazz don't wanna give up a young player (Favors, Kanter, Burke, Burks) to move up which is contradicting to other reports. He said the Bucks want future picks if they are going to trade down.

I hope this isn't true simply because I hope the Jazz aren't that bad with their info and desires. It's no good to smell desperate.

Furthermore, I think he's definitely below Wiggins and Embiid as a prospect. So, "zeroing in" on him seems a little... I don't know. I don't like the idea that the Jazz do that with prospects that don't project to be even a mediocre defender in the NBA and struggled against length (which isn't to say he can't improve, of course).

Sheridan is an idiot... says all it would take to move into top 3 is a future lottery protected first rounder. He then says we could throw a couple second rounders in there if they played hard ball. Also, says the Jazz don't have any players they are willing to give up. He's wrong about both. I'm not even sure an unprotected pick would get it done.

If he is ever a GM of a team I would be calling him up on Day 1.

I think that's a no-brainer. My faith that the Warriors implode by '16-'17 is waning a bit. Maybe it shouldn't, a lot can happen between now and then.

Also loved the radio guys going " I don't know another first rounder just to move up 2 spots" It's like we've completely wiped the D-Will lottery out of our brains. Anyone else think we gave up too much when we traded both Martell Webster and Linas Kleiza for D-Will?

That wouldn't really be a smokescreen, though, if we're still really targeting him.

Bucks receive:
#5, #23, GS 2017

Jazz receive:
#2, OJ Mayo (cap relief).

I think the Bucks would really consider that if Exum falls to #5, I'd consider switching one of the picks with our 1st rounder next year too.

Pull the trigger.

Sign and Trade Hayward for a nice piece or something. (if not..)
