Wow, the posters on this site are real gamblers. First of all, if Embiid was 100 percent, then maybe you do it. But even that would be risky because just by looking at the history of the draft, no one is a slam dunk. Guys could get injured after the draft, especially 7-footers. Look what happened to Sam Bowie. Bill Walton, too, though he still had a HOF career. Embiid already has had two serious injuries and has only played one season of college ball.

I rather take Gordon or BPA at 5 and stay the course with our guys. You can't make a reasonable assessment of our young guys because of Corbin. Continuing with him as a coach after his first full season was the worst move by this franchise in its recent history. Because of it, we don't really know what we have. I say keep 5 and try to move up from our other picks. And depending on who we get in the draft will depend on whether or not we keep Hayward.

Why didn't we take a few of the players who were given away for nothing last season if we weren't going to tank properly and then give up Favors and the #5 for an unguaranteed-to-be all star?

Spence Checketts said on the radio that he heard from his "source" that seven different teams had offered the Cavs for the #1 pick, but they told all but the Jazz and Sixers that they weren't interested. Said he didn't know what Philly offered, but that Cleveland wanted an unprotected future first rounder from the Jazz in addition to Favors & #5. He said the front office didn't want to offer an unprotected first, and tentatively offered to add Burks or the #23 pick as a counter offer, though he also said the Jazz front office is split on the idea of trading Burks.

Philly might have went 3, 10, and Thaddeus Young. MCW is of no value to them with Irving. Our deal crushes theirs unless they threw in an unprotected first.

Just left Vegas with all the EDC candy *** painted vehicles everywhere. U go this year?

No man. Doing it next year though had some family conflicts. I did walk the casino and hang at the pool Friday for some drinks. The women are so freaking hot EDC weekend. Probably my fav weekend of the year..

We are getting two more insomniac events a year and next year is rockin rio. That is going to be epic.

Chad Ford on the mock draft picked Tyler Ennis @#23. I would freak out if that was the actual draft!

My yay comes with the caveat that the Jazz have some secret knowledge almost ensuring Wiggins is franchise talent.

Favors, Burks, and the #5 is a LOT!

Really, really love Burks. Would be pretty sad to see Favors go too.

On 1280, Spence checketts source said the FO is split on Jabari and Wiggins. Hoping they smarten up and realize that this package should only be entertained for Wiggins.

Also heard that the trade options are just down to Philly and us. What the hell could Philly be offering them? I think we seem desperate by throwing Burks in the mix. We'd also have to take Jack back from them...

The FO is split? Who, then, is the "FO"? Does a guy like Rigby have a vote and, if so, why? I remember him implying how the coach search wasn't all Lindsey, suggesting that he has a say, as well. I'd like to see what he brings to the table. He'd probably make a poor contributor to this forum, even by JazzFanz standards.
