I get the all in attitude of trying to get Number 1. I also am frustrated as I don't see the ceiling of our existing team being all that high. The deal for number 1 is a bit much though. If we divided up the assets and traded them separately for picks what could we get?

Would Burks, the #23, and our unguaranteed contracts be enough to get #8 from Sacramento.

Could Favors get us expirings and #6 or #7... Could Favors and Burks get us #4.

I think we could hit the reset button and I would be fine with it. I don't think the Cleveland deal is the best use of our assets. That being said if we get Wiggins I'll be the first to post that he's the next Lebron.

I'm wondering about other scenarios as well.... If Embiid falls to the Jazz at 5 can they trade him to a team further down and acquire someone like Gordon and other assets?

The idea about going all in is that Wiggins (or Parker) are a tier above everyone else and in basketball, you need players like that. I'm not sure what the purpose of gutting the team for more lower-tier prospects would be for, except maybe tanking next year.

I think they could turn and send him to Boston with the #23 for #6 and #17. At #17 could get Saric, Payne, maybe Payton or LaVine. It would be a good jump for us.

If the Jazz could get #1 (or #2) and THEN wanted to acquire another top-10 pick, then I'd be listening.

I heard someone saying maybe Lindsey isn't thrilled with our current pieces, which might make sense, so he's going to hit the reset button a bit and go all in. I'm trying to see if we'd rather trade those parts for something else that could become higher-tiered talent than we currently have on the roster. We'd end up worse next year which could also help us get the "guy". Not sure what next year's draft is like.

Also, if you can take advantage of teams trying to take shortcuts it may boost our long-term future.

I think in order to get the #1 that it is contingent on Embiid being there... If he's there you take him and have a deal or two already in place.

Maybe the Jazz could get Olynyk and 6 from them for Embiid and 23, or if the jazz take on the salary of Green or Wallace?

Wouldn't touch the salary, but Olynyk is okay... I'd rather move up though. There is a ton of value in the late teens. I think Payne is every bit the shooter Olynyk is except he's also athletic and will be less of a defensive liability. Also the guy played with Mono all year last year. If we could get him I think he'd be a great fit next to Favs.

I think that they have the assets to do so. Maybe the GSW unprotected first and the #23? Throw in the GSW and Den 2nd rounders maybe? Rights to Tomic or Neto?

Good value to get Rondo, but he'd be gone in a year. I don't think we are ready for a "win-now" type of trade. I also want to see more of Rondo without the other all-stars around him.
