Yay he can jump. Wait didn't we already know that?
.
Now can he shoot consistently? Defend any position? Or do anything with the ball in his hands? Those are the questions I want answered. I already knew he could jump.
Do you actually watch Evans when he plays? 8 out or 10 times he produces. He rebounds well, blocks shots, passes the ball, runs the floor and dunks. He shot the 15ft well when he came in the league but didn't have confidence to shoot it. Ty mentioned a few times he was always telling Jeremy to shoot the jumper. People have stereotyped Jeremy because he won the dunk contest and he can jump out of the gym but he has other talents. He is also a great teammate and doesn't complain when he doesn't play.
The problem with Jeremy and this is a glaring problem, is his handles/dribbling skills are poor for an NBA player. He is too skinny to guard his real position down low so he gets shoved around even though he is better than he use to be. In the end it is his dribbling skills that keep him from being a SF and probably getting more minutes. However teams need guys like Jeremy who will produce something when he gets his number called.
