***Official Summer League Roster***

More interested in how Burke performs actually. Really important for his psyche to have a strong showing, since he has a hyped rookie gunning for his position. Needs to show he is a NBA starter level PG and control these games. We should have a strong team since many of the guys have been practicing together since last season.

Burke will be fine. He just doesn't take these non-consequential games that seriously. He only steps up when it counts. He's cool like that.

Exactly. He goes 2-10 during the first 3 quarters which usually contributes to Utah being well out of the game by the 4th. But, on the off chance the other players are hot and manage to keep it close, Burke may hit ONE game winner a season.

I don't have doubts about Burke. The thing that occupies my mind is how the egos of both those guys Burke & Exum duo work out. It will be fantastic if it works out and they don't try to cut each other. Or at least have the dosage of competition at a healthy level. Both are cool dudes. Grown up characters. Pretty much the opposite of what Kanter showed. Burke leans to be a badass mo-fo. Exum is the clever cool dude it seems. We shall see.

Go watch the Australian team in the U-19 tourney and get back to me. They played 2 PGs no problem whatsoever.

Absolutely. I have no problem with 2 PG system. Hell even throw a point-forward in there. But I'm talking about these two individuals and their possible ego-clash.

I think they can co-exist for a couple of seasons. But unless Burks leaves, at some point one of Burke/Exum is not going to be happy about coming off the bench. For now, it's a 3-man rotation and the rookie "earns" his spot by backing up both positions. Next season or the one after there might need to be a change. Or, maybe Alec gets an offer the Jazz don't want to match and Exum becomes the starting SG.

I'd like to wish the different scenario happening. Burke, Burks, Favors -and probably Exum will be there too- are the players that I want to stay together. There has to be a way to work that out if you throw a legit PF or C in there.

One of the guards would have to accept a Ginobili-type role. I'm very "meh" on Favors right now. He's kind of a tweener; hasn't shown he can be a great defender as a 5 and doesn't have the shooting ability to be a 4. If I had to place a bet, I think Gobert will eventually be the Jazz' starter at the 5. It will take a couple more years, but he has the potential to be very, very good. However, Utah would need a shooter at the 4. Kanter COULD be that guy, but I'm not holding my breath. Maybe the next draft will net Utah a good shooting, decent defending PF.

Has anyone watched practice or heard which non-guaranteed guys have looked good? Do we have a sleeper that might contribute.

The first time Dante crosses over or just blows by his defender and flies to the rim people will understand what we're dealing with.

Major jazzgasms all over the place. May even see a return of the Mansap.

As much as I hated the whiny ***** that Deron became, it was still fun to see him "break ankles."

Are Jazz bringing in anymore PGs?
When Exum leaves they will need another prospect or two.

Dwill's crossover was the most legit thing ever. I still try to replicate his in-and-out step-back midrange shot on a daily basis.

Maybe the Jazz trade for Vonleh or some shooter 4. I'm too far away from giving up on Favors. Last season was a big disappointment for me, but he still is the most committed player in the team in my eyes.
