So Im not the only one who saw flashes of Kobe when watching Exum?
Also, in respect to you thinking that my account or the hotnick account are alts, well, that's laughable.
No, he definitely reminded me a little of Kobe.

That's more of what I see for him.I think Hood will be just fine. He was cold, but has a great stroke from what I saw. Likely nerves and fatigue. At worst, a good shooter off the bench who will spread the floor.

Burke looked like ****. He really did. Bad passes, had the ball taken right out of his hands (inexcusable for a PG playing a level down) and did not move the ball or get into the paint enough.Burke had a -13 plus minus and Exum had a +9 plus minus.
That was the low and the high for the team respectively.
Watched the recorded version of the game. The PG/SG debate is moot, IMO - Exum is a lead guard. I.e., he needs the ball in his hands. Trey will not be starting with the Jazz for long.

Well, seeing as we don't have another PG on the roster (no, I do not consider JLIII an NBA player), I think Trey sticks as the starting PG until the deadline at least. Also need to evaluate what happens with Burks and Kanter to see what direction Jazz may want to make with a trade. Could definitely see a Burke + #10 for veteran starter deal at draft time.
I don't think it will be that difficult, TBH. And I think there are five clear starters. As a rookie with no college experience, I don't think Exum expects to be a starter. Also doubt Hood has that expectation. We are going to see early on how Snyder does with dealing with players. Burke, Burks, Exum, and Hayward probably all see themselves as starters for this team. Only 3 of them max can start though. And that is if Hayward starts at SF. Favors, Kanter, Gobert, Evans and Hood probably all deserve minutes as well. That makes a lot of players fighting for minutes and a headache for the coach with no clear starters in the bunch except probably Hayward and Favors.
Egos get in the way. Trey was drafted as a starter and will not want to be seen as a bench player. Nor would his agent. It would kill the value of his non-rookie contract when it comes up.Can't Trey just come off the bench? Hell, I don't care if Trey starts if he plays backup minutes. I hope Snyder is the type of coach that plays the better talent in the impact roles.

He could. But then this brings up issues of personality and maturity.

Regardless of if he's willing to take that role or not, he might just have to. Exum oozes potential every time the ball is in his hands. He's going to be thrilling to watch, and they're going to build around him. Trey Burke simply isn't good enough to throw a hissy fit about a demotion. I like Trey. I hope he can find his niche on this team, but I wouldn't trade him unless he becomes a cancer in the locker room. I don't really see that in him, even if he is demoted to a 6th man role.I completely agree. And while we need a backup, if Trey isn't willing to take that role, it would most likely be best to move him. The Jazz should really look at bringing Neto over. IIRC he isn't under contract right now, so there would be no buyout. If we wait it may be harder to bring him over.
