What's new

It's Official, I'm a Badass

I guess I didn't update this thread last year, maybe I posted it somewhere else, I dunno... but anyway.

So I just got back from the awards ceremony for the 6th annual Bee Hive Brew Off. For the third year in a row I took 1st place in the English Style Pale Ale category. However this year YES was not the winner. This year my "ordinary bitter" (category 8A) Worker Bee Bitter took first. I'll take some beer pron pics later.

Last year I had two beers place in the English Style Pale Ale category. YES took 1st place and Brigham's Best took 3rd.

Very, very cool, Gameface. Congrats!

Is this a competition for all of Utah?

aside from the beer, one of the best things about this thread is seeing all the old QSH usernames once again...

I think there were at least two in this thread

oh and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

It's held in Utah but it's an American Homebrewers Association sanctioned event open to anyone. A guy from NY took a couple medals.

Beer in my mouth or it didn't happen

Way to go bro. I hate beer but I want to try one of yours.

congrats

You don't brew an Abbey Dubbel by chance? A Steak, some fried shrimp, and a Dubbel is my heaven.

No. Belgian beers are not exactly in my wheelhouse. Maybe someday.

Bitter is the first beer kit I bought when I bought my original brewing kit. I've been stuck on that style trying to perfect it ever since. Once I get it perfect I might be able to move on.

I recommend watching the whole thing, but here's a trailer...
