Let the playing speak for itself. I mean, Stockton (in my opinion) most usually looked disinterested (facially) yet he was a gritty, hard-working player.
If/when AK starts trotting up the court, making lazy, sloppy passes, looking comatose on defending his guy, etc., then it's time to inspect trades. I don't watch every Utah game (and those I do watch I stream on the internet...nice and pixelated) so I don't know if this is the case for AK.
Hopefully with Sloan playing Hayward, AK will self-ignite a fire under his own butt and wrest back those minutes.

I would be willing to bet money that you are wrong on this part. Unless it is AK's choice to do so.

Have you seen the Jazz this decade?
This stuff began shortly after he received his max deal. It became a habit shortly after Deron was drafted and AK could see that he was no longer "The Man" since we had Memo, Booz, Harpring, and Deron. He then discovered that he could be paid all the same whether he played hard or didn't.
He's been a bump on the log for most of the time since.

Sorry, it's early (where I'm at) and my sarcasm didn't come out quite right.
The if/when, obviously, has occurred. $17M is simply too much to pay a guy who we all wait to turn back the clock and have a 2004-type game. We all know what bad contracts do - take a quick glance at Ostertag's and you'll see how his helped prevent the Jazz from hanging a title banner up - so let's learn from history (both past and present) and send him to Charlotte. Or Philly. Or whoever we can dupe into a trade.

Exactly, and as it stands, this does not describe AK's game this season for the most part. Of course he's overpaid. That doesn't mean he isn;t trying to run the offense with some energy and play good defense.

It's his last year. I say if a good trade doesn't present itself then offer to resign for 3 or 4 million TOPS and if he walks he walks.

There are a few things that Hayward does on the court that AK does not do as well.
*He runs plays all the way through the court. AK goes through the play and usually doesn't hustle through the play.
*He passes the ball on the perimeter with some zip on the ball.
*He actually goes after rebound
At this point, Hayward's biggest problem is that he can't create his own shot.

he is putting up a replacement level PER in a walk year. he doesn't care.
or he'll just cry like he did before when things weren't going his way.
