More death threats -- Woman take video of her walk through New York

https://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/2014/10/29/video-of-woman-harassed-catcalled-on-street-hits-nerve/

The original video, of a ten-hour walk, had over 100 incidents of men feeling free to just come up to the woman and hit on her, simply because they are men. Just over one every 6 minutes. This link has a small section of the video.

Naturally, when you show videos like that, you get death threats.

This sort of thing always makes me think that internet anonymity needs to be ended. If people had to put their real ID behind a death threat and be prosecuted, they might behave like human beings.

sexually antagonistic coevolution explains why black lady *** is so huge.

[EDITED]

Scientists are worried evolutionary advancements are advancing exponentially so that soon all black females will look like Serena Williams.

Not that I agree with the approach of these men, but when did it become wrong to try to talk to a woman, or flirt with one, or make any sort of romantic advance?

There's nothing wrong with romantic advances. It's all about tact and respect, tho. How would you feel if you had this many men hit on you while you walk down the street?

I find nothing natural about making death threats? I don't know if you intended to blame the girl with your comment but that is what you seem you are doing? I wouldn't call a person a gentleman for acting this way nor would I call him a man for threatening a person/woman. I think the appropriate word would be coward.

There is a place to flirt with a woman calling her out on the street isn't flirting it is harassment. The woman gave zero indication she was interested in talking to the men so it wasn't talking it was harassment. The guy who followed her would have gotten a can of mace in his face if he had done that too my daughters or sisters. I've taught them not to take crap from sleeze bags like that guy.

I don't get why saying what's up is now sexual harassment. Obviously I advocate against anyone making someone else feel uncomfortable by being pushy or persistent when it's cleared the other doesn't want to engage in an exchange. But a movement to stop street harassment seems far-fetched. If there are street harassment laws passed from this movement, Mormons and many other religions will not be able to proselyte in the streets anymore. I think it's a slippery slope this activist group behind the video wants to go down.

So, they hired a pretty actress with nice assets and had her walk for 10 hours in a very crowded city and all they got was 1.5 minutes of footage of men who are most likely willing to throw their money and energy to get her, giving her a plethora of sexual options. So this woman is a victim? Being a very attractive young woman living in a Western country where many men are willing to give half their wealth just to please you is a victim? This woman is a victim?

"How you doing beautiful"
"Whats up beautiful, have a good day"
"How you doing, good?"
"Have a nice evening"
"How are you doing today?"

Young attractive white women are the victims of the world. Don't get me wrong sexual harassment does exist but I didn't see it in this video. Granted some men were a little bit too aggressive then I would have liked but this is one cause I will not donate my money for.

I didn't get the impression that OB was trying to blame the girl in any way.

Pretty sure the "Naturally" from his post is sarcastic.

As black males became more aggressive with penetration speed and thrust, invasive female damages led to evolutionary changes in the genital tracts to reinforce tract walls and add a cherry to block invasive penetration. Black males responded in turn to these changes by becoming increasingly harder and longer. This of course caused even deeper invasive penetration and the species got locked into an evolutionary arms race.

In addition to increasing vaginal wall cushioning, the black female became increasingly stronger to help her either ward off or to control her male counterpart. In addition, her vagina began to deepen and her *** grew to outpace penile growth rates.

Fast forward 10,000,000 years and black female asses keep getting larger to cushion the depth reach of the ever enlarging black male penis. Scientists are worried evolutionary advancements are advancing exponentially so that soon all black females will look like Serena Williams.

Reaching out from the alt graveyard to drop this turd on an otherwise "bland" thread...well done.

Some of the the comments in the video seem innocuous, but then again not everyone is flattered by being stalked down the street for five minutes by a creepy stranger or is suddenly made happy by being told to smile as if they never had a right to their own emotions. We don't need more laws we just need some common decency. Maybe stop feeling that anything that pops into our heads when a pretty woman walks by needs to be said and start treating every woman the way we want and expect our little sister to be treated.

I haven't watched the video because I am at work, but are you trying to argue that men are not allowed to "hit on" women? Isn't that how a man is supposed to try to start a relationship in the first place? Or are you saying that "hitting on" someone is qualitatively different than say, talking to someone? I thought they were the same thing if the intent is to get the person's attention romantically. Or are you saying men are supposed to understand there is some kind of quota on hitting on women and therefore they are not allowed if a certain other number of men have hit on he already? Or that any instance of approaching a woman to try to strike up a potential relationship is wrong somehow? I mean I get that you are OB so that means that everything men/white men/all white people/straight people/etc do is always wrong, but is there anything outside of all that in trying to strike up a conversation that is inherently wrong there or something?

It is the internet where otherwise normal sane friendly people feel free to become EJ Wells or worse as the whim strikes them.

I realize OB isn't exactly known for his sarcasm, but I really think your meter needs fixing.

Overreact much? I consider this behavior to be tacky, but far from criminal. I'd like to see her do another video in which she is dressed more conservatively, and then see if she gets the same results. But then again, had she done that, the result would have been much different, which would have defeated her purpose.

Truthfully, attractive women have been dealing with this since the beginning of time, and they each have a choice. They can dress in a way that attracts attention, realizing that, yes, much of that attention is going to be unwanted, or, if it really bothers them, they can dress down and live with less attention from men she's interested in.

Finally, even though I completely understand young women being creeped out by such behavior, I have no doubt that one day, when she is older and fatter, she will miss the day she could walk down the street and command that kind of attention, wanted or not.

More conservatively? Like what a burka? A prairie dress with jeans underneath? She's not dressed very provocatively if you ask me and she's attractive but not stunning, by any means.

That said, I only saw a couple instances that I think were inappropriate. The guy walking beside her for an extended period and the guy that wouldn't give up asking over and over if he was too ugly. There were a few others that were slightly questionable.

The ones where people say hello, ask how she's doing, etc. hard to call those inappropriate, especially since for the most part when she doesn't respond they let it go.

If you had to deal with this every time you wore a t-shirt and jeans, I bet you would have a different tone. I bet if someone then blamed you for the harassment and suggested you dress like we're in Saudi Arabia, you'd punch them square in the nose. I baffled at this perspective.
