Moe is one of the coolest and most level headed people around here, as well as probably the nicest moderator you're going to run into. I suggest backing off the attack a little, Hopper wannabe.

I noticed that about moe, and I didn't realize it was seen as an attack to clarify the thinking and situation.
I was mistook for Hopper and received neg rep for this so I thought I would get to know what he was like on here.

I thought his posts, at least in this thread, were well thought out. They may be "nigh insufferable" to the mods but they seemed to indicate some critical thinking.
Hopper was, well as a poster anyway (I could never tell if it was a total act or not) was very bipolar. He'd go from having extremely well thought out posts that were great to this irritating Amos and Andy shtick that was insufferable to read. I like the former Hopper/Aint, but that was too bogged down with the latter Hopper/Aint.

Millsapa, just wondering if you ever read the old jazzfanz back around 2006 - 2007 or so when Hopper posted under the name Aint Nuthin?
Many of his posts at that time were made with a highly exaggerated old-time black/southern dialect. In addition, they were often rather inappropriate in content, or had inappropriate overtones. Much of the hostility that some posters felt towards Hopper was due to their association with his former jazzfanz persona.
At any rate, I'm truly sorry he has been banned. I wish he could have managed to stick around.

No, I'm brand new to the forum and I just had the unfortunate timing to join right before he was banned. I didn't have information on why he was banned, just that he was a controversial member. This thread made me suspicious that he may have been banned simply for annoying the mods.

and to put it very simply, he was banned because he broke the rules and received infractions five times within a six-month time frame. It's too bad, because I got a kick out of him much of the time.
But I don't think he was happy here, which is why he continued to break the rules even after he received warnings, explanations and clarifications. Hopefully he's found a home in cyberspace that better meets his needs. Perhaps he can be found in the comments somewhere on One Brow's blog: https://lifetheuniverseandonebrow.blogspot.com/
