We can blame Trey's shooting slump... blame Kanter for his defense.... etc, etc, etc.

But at the end of the day, we had more talent than that Pacers team.

We should have beaten them.

Plain and Simple.

I think you're spot on. People can point at all the shots we missed and say what they want, but we shot the same percentage from the floor as they did, the biggest stat for me from the pacers game was they took 16 more shots than us.

That comes down to rebounding and turnovers. And watching the game those things both seem to be a matter of focus and effort right.

Of course with that being said, with a young team at this level, staying focused and giving 100% for 48 minutes, every night of a long season is probably the toughest thing to expect.

100 % agree. This is a really really young team, i believe that they will start figuring out. This is a tough road trip. 5 games in 7 days. There will be some good games and bad games.

Kanter´s DFG % was 60 % before the last two games. After the game against Detroit it was 56 % and after last game it is at 53 %. So no one can say that Kanter sucked defensively the last two games and he played very good offense. Only problem was his rebounding against Pacers and his TO early in the 1st quater. He was still + 17...

Trevor Booker who is called as a good or tough defender has a DFG % of 53 %, so he is as bad as Kanter was and he played most of his minutes against bench players.

And the Pistons had 21 more and Dallas 20. We had 5 more FG attempts than Cleveland, but they also had 40 FT's compared to 22 for us.
Have to limit the offensive rebounds by opponents. Quite a few times we stopped Indiana early in that game but they tipped the ball out and retained possession (and then scored).

If you've added a healthy Paul George to that line up in comparison to Hayward playing for the Jazz, that would be a different story.

Guys, if we just play better, we'll win more games.

Nowhere else do you get this kind of expert analysis.

We weren't hungry enough. If only we had drafted Randle.
