I don't want to dilute this with multiple options. Do you consider yourself in the top 50% or bottom 50% in terms of intelligence. Not asking about your education, or your knowledge. Just your natural mental capabilities.
 
I am going to post below (because it's true) but might vote above, just to **** things up.
 
I voted yes to being above average but without some sort of bar to reference, I don't know. I mean, I know I'm not a dummy but I am also not as intelligent as I could be in comparison to other folks. I mean, there are some folks here on this site who are pretty ****ing smart.

The bar is essentially a ****ing iq of 100, you dolt. Since you didn't know that, you should've clicked no.
 
Clicked yes. I was a bookworm when I was a kid - that helps. My mom was a dentist and I remember reading her medical textbooks at home when I was 10-12 yars old since all other books in home library where all read long time ago.

A majority of humans naturally overrate their own intelligence (especially not-smart people). It's difficult to objectively quantify ones' own intelligence because no one has ever been somebody else before.

I want to change my answer.
 
I used to think that I was above the average. But right now, I'm not so sure. Even if I were, I'm sure the difference is not significant to brag about so I prefer considering myself as pretty average. But I do have a semi-genius guy(my brother) and a very very smart girl(my sister) in my family.

By the way, although I'm sure the highly intelligent jazzfanz posters would realize anyway, I would like to point out that it doesn't necessarily mean that you are below the average if you vote no in the poll.

I'm above average in some areas, below average in probably more areas. I do well enough in most things to get by though.
 
I will be the first to unequivocally say that I possess above average intelligence.

Stay tuned to find out where that gets me.
