Chess Match Thread

Sorry, I did. I was pressing all kinds of buttons looking for the chat button.

So I can play games from my ipad but still not sure if I can communicate with other players.

Haha, no problem. Unfortunately I don't know how it looks in ipad so I can't help about it but it looks like this in normal browser.

The entire portion of the screen to the left of the board does not show up in my browser, so it looks like I would not be able to communicate while a game is in progress. Apparently there is an iOS app in development but no release date set.

Enes CanTear You Apart vs. One Brow

Comes from losing game after game after game in the official matches back when I was in high school.

Looks like you guys are playing chicken. .. . ha ha

I used to do games like this. . . that's what led to my most ignominious defeat ever. When the cute shy redhead copied my moves for about twenty moves into the game, and I had the perfect defense combined with the perfect base for launching the ultimate attack. . . .

Then, somehow, she saw my Queen and took it.

It was still a very very long game, but she won in the end. . . .lol. . . . then she conned me into taking her to all the dress-up dances the rest of the year, just so she could show me off to all her cute girlfriends who had all the hot dates. . . .lol.

snookered, I was. . . .

I had planned on a4, but after your a5 I don't like position if you respond to a4 with b4. I'll take a slower approach.

Looks like OB is going to systematically take me apart. . . .

General Patton declared that defense always loses. . . . .

I think it's time to change targets.

And that looks like an even better line of attack on your part. Hmmm. . . . . I'll get my board out and analyze this situation. . . . .

edit: hours later. . . .

my response is to move my king forward to protect my knight. Kg2

my reasons for this move, instead of say taking the knight for a pawn-displacing trade, is that it allows the knight to provide some protection still on the c pawn which could still be the main attack. . . . If OB wants my knight trade, fine. . . . other things possible include a continued advance or an organized phalanx of pawns. . . but the white knight sorta gums that up a bit.
