Not a coincidence we had one of our worst offensive nights without Favors.
The offensive is anemic without him. Not that Favors ia great passer, but Kanter and Gobert make him look like Sabonis.

Our offense in the 3rd quarter was just awful. Terrible spacing. Gobert really hurts us in that regard. If Burke was hitting a mid-range pull up or Burks/Hayward weren't creating 1-on-1 we had nothing going for us. Kanter having an off night really hurt us on offense. I'm sure things are a lot harder on him offensively playing with a more clogged lane that Gobert brings.

Yeah. Booker is a very frustrating player because I think he has a ton of physical talent, but recently has been plagued by some confidence and indecision problems. He was amazing early on when his 3pt fell early and it felt like he felt he could do anything on the court. Then some missed shots and TO's piled up and everything he does know looks like he is thinking too much.

Agree. Quin at least has a system in place. Most of the time the Jazz are getting good shots; they just aren't converting. That's a talent problem.
Some of the players are just young. Hood is going to be a decent backup -just give him time. Favors is also solid.
This needed to be a season of discovery. We've seen Gobert developing into a future starter. We've seen Trey continue to struggle. And Kanter has progressed; not as fast as we want, but he is looking better.
Just a few roster moves would make this a much better team.
I'd like to see a bench of Exum, Burks, Hood, Kanter and Porzingis next season.
Starters are Gobert, Favors, Hayward, a vet PG and a "3 and D" SG. We get the guards by trading Trey and Booker's expiring and using the MLE.
Alternately, the Jazz could draft someone like Johnson. Then you stick with Burks as a starter and look for a stretch-4 via trade or free agency. I like Booker, but he just doesn't add the skills the Jazz need, not when the centers are Gobert and Kanter. Need shooters.

Compared to what? The offense does suffer a bit when he is on the floor...watch that Locke video for the stats. However, his teammates ignore him all game long. He didn't even attempt to shoot more than two shots where he was not getting a putback. When you ignore teammates, the spacing sucks and you don't trust in the pass. Look at the teams that maximize their players. It's always based off of the concept of trust in the pass. You talk about his hand off passes, but that's where he is set up to be within the offense. When he gets it in the post through a pass or otherwise he has pretty good vision, look at the last game for example. In everything in this world, people (particularly fans) are so eager to give half-assed dogmatic assessments of anything. This world has become devoid of accountability in what they say because of forums just like this. The point is that it is almost always much more complicated than "he's bad" or "he's good".

We don't win a lot even with Favors. I think Rudy showed that he can handle the starting center spot. The way I see it we need to see if Favors can play the 4 next to Gobert. If he can't then we need to trade Favors to bring in some talent that doesn't play Center.
Compared to our offense without Gobert on the floor. Have you missed the entire point what I said about the offense suffer with him on as opposed to off?
Gobert air balled a 1-on-1 hook shot 6 feet from the basket. I'd rather have him never shoot the ball unless it's within 3 feet of the rim.
He also bobbled a pass Hayward gave him (right in his chest) that would have resulted in a dunk (luckily Hayward got the ball back and actually found him for an alley-oop that he surprisingly caught). The fact is that players know the skills of the players they are playing with. The Jazz know Gobert struggles with passes so as a result they know they have to be selective in what they feed him. You can't just throw any pass to Gobert..
