What's new

Anyone else bummed with this Team ?

Yes, and what does this tell ya.

It tells me there is room for concern as those numbers are eerily similar to last years numbers and it will be interesting to see if that's just who he is and November was the aberration or if November was a sign of progress from him.

I do think it is interesting, however that you are pinning your hopes on a late first round pick who is shooting an abysmal 28% FGs and 25% threes on the season. I'm not saying Hood can't and won't get better, but those numbers are frighteningly bad and late first round picks don't have the greatest success rate over the years. I guess what I'm saying is Hood has a chance to become a player, but don't get your hopes too high.

This situation is so much better than it could have been. If we aren't making a push for the playoffs, we want a shot at a difference maker. Even though we have some nice pieces, I think we're still missing the main piece/s that will take us to the next level. I know some people would be happy with a few more wins now, but I see this as being in denial of who we really are as a team. Right now I'm completely stoked that at least we aren't stuck in no man's land.

As far as expectations go, I'm good with where we are. I did kind of expect us to be better than we are, but I more than happy that it looks like we should get a decent shot at a potential franchise player.

Im not too disappointed with our players.

I think favors is a good starter and is playing about how I expect him too. Same goes for Hayward.
Burks has been a little disappointing but is trending up in December and I think will be a solid starter by the end of the year.
Kanter seems to be trying harder on defense and is not as good a player as I hoped or thought he could be, but he is still a decent player.
Trey is about what I thought he would be (a solid back up pg)
Gobert is better at this point in his career than I though he would be.
Exum and hood have been disappointing but im willing to give them a break during their rookie years.
Booker has been disappoint lately due to his good early start to the year.
jingles sucks bad
the rest never play so cant really disappoint

He's at 36% FG in December. That's 7 games played.

His sample size is tiny. Only 73 shots on the season. That's about two games for Kobe.

He shot 49% 2pt. and 42% 3pt. at Duke.

Even if Hood just becomes a reliable role player for us who can come out on any given night and give a good effort and provide decent numbers from the bench I'm ok with that, as long as we don't overpay him.
Oh, and he doesn't have a spoiled brat attitude...

Well put. I'm happy with the development of Hayward, Favors, Gobert and Exum (in flashes.) If Kanter improves on defense, Burks works on attacking within the system, Hood gets his shot settled and Exum gets stronger and more confident. . . then I really think this is a strong group and a solid bench. I agree that they still need one more key piece to make it all work. Having Gobert develop into a stud would be a nice surprise. I'm very, very happy with him and Exum. I think that eventually getting both guys into the starting lineup will pay huge dividends down the road.

lol. Well done. And to be fair, Kobe doesn't shoot much better than that either.

I think its just frustrating losing so many close games. Also we started the season playing better, and I think it got peoples hopes up. This losing really takes the wind out of your sails. It's harder to get excited about player development when you are losing so many games in a row.
