The bench is still terrible, and the starters are young and inexperienced. I'm glad that they're winning some and building confidence, but those teams all had issues when the Jazz played them (no Bosh and the Magic suck). This team will win some games, but they're still going to lose some because they're not consistent enough to close the game out. If they do fall I to that 9-13 range, I certainly hope that they utilize some assets to try and get another potential star player to add to this young Core.It always was in danger.
This team has too much talent to ever have a real shot at a top 5 pick.
It's just taking time to get chemistry and to get familiar with system. This team will be better at the end of the year than they are now and win alot of meaningless games that will piss us all off.
I see the jazz getting a pick between #9 and #13

Or they can always get lucky and jump into the top 3. That's how they got Kanter. Can't count on it, but it sure would be nice to land a franchise guy.

I'll be interested to see what the Jazz front office does here. A few more wins like this and we'll slip to 9th in the draft lottery. Our next game is against Charlotte.
Like what? Jazz are not tanking.
And when the jazz trade Enes to Charlotte for a draft pick and Bismack Biyombo it will be about "acquiring Assets" not tanking.
I would love to see what he can do with better teammates.
I think his free throw shooting percentage is at a career high too..... not sure about his rebounding but it might be at a career high as wellSome more informtions:
Alec's 3P% is .393 on 2.4 attempts. He is .444 on catch and shoot threes. Let is fly Alec. He has that shot!
His AST Ratio(17.1) and his AST/TO Ratio(1.54) are both career highs!
Agreed. Frankly, this isn't a bad thing. If we finish with a top 5 pick that isn't just lottery luck, it proves that we essentially have zero talented players. This team has plenty of potentially good youth and I think what we really need is a good vet or two who fits our direction as well as a year or two for Exum and Hood to really turn it on.Anyone who thinks this team is going to have a top 5 pick via tanking has no idea what they're talking about. We still play the Lakers and Tpups 4 times each. Those teams are disasters. The celtics, who just upgraded their tank by trading away Rondo. The nets. The Jabariless Bucks. And of course, the Sixers. We shouldn't lose to any of those teams. They're awful.
Realistically, we should be drafting 9-13. That's about where we are in the league.

We are not far away from being pretty good.
That is not true at all. Plenty of good players have been on bad teams. Plenty of players have developed into good players that have been on bad teams. If we get a top 5 pick it means we have poor depth, not all of our young players developed how we wanted them to or slower than we wanted them to or the team gave up on winning like it did last year.
Hayward missing some time would be pretty devastating to our overall record.
