Gobert--when can we extend him?

I'm amazed of how unanimous our opinion is on a Jazz player. Can't remember such thing for a long time.

It feels good.

Yeah, no way Rudy wouldn't get a max on the market if he continues on this warpath. How many 27th picks turn into max players? Crazy.

I remember a couple of you said the exact same thing about Enes Kanter after he had a really good stretch during his second year I believe.

It was not people saying he would def get mad offers, we were saying that if be continued improving like he did last season during a good stretch then he might be a max player. Rudy has shown infinitely greater potential to be something so unique in the is league that he will get the max. Kanter still could screw his head on straight and get a max offer, but he plays like a bonehead half the time, and then a world beater the other half.

And Kanter doesn't have a 9'7 standing reach.

Gobert can be extended the end of next season (July 1st 2016). The Jazz will be able to offer him the "franchise" 5 year extension

Chuck Norris has Rudy Gobert pajamas.

Yeah that's the closest Chuck Norris will ever get to him. Rudy Gobert doesn't do pushups, he pushes Earth down. Thriller change your avatar if you don't wanna look like a LOSER!

Why, isn't the max the Jazz can offer more than what other teams can offer? I get the Jazz may want to extend him and get the extra fifth year, but letting the market set his value doesn't make them pay any more if he's going to get the Max regardless. This isn't Hayward who would have extended for 12 per then ended up getting max.

Edit: For the record, I have only been able to see a few games, so I haven't been able to see the impact that he has had. I'm just saying that hypothetically if he is going to get the max either way there is no harm for the Jazz to wait, financially, but they may want to do it to show good faith in him.
Good post

But like sgjazzfan said, the jazz could just let him enter free agency and butt have anything to lose right? (He would be restricted I think)
