What's new

Rudy is the greatest Jazz player since Karl Malone.

While browsing for Gobert pics, I found this one. Very disturbing, but oh so amusing. My apologies to Rudy.

Your sense of humor, Stifle Tower, is... shall we say, unique? It's almost endearing.

I was at the game tonight and at one point noticed Gobert get in someones face. Was it Speights? Gobert has some nasty in him and his upper body looks pretty beastly in person.

I LOVE teh Rudy, but I think Deron, Memo, AK, Mansap, or dare I say... Boozer are better than Rudy now. In 2 years I wouldn't be surprised if Rudy is an all-star and obv better than all (edit, 5) of em.

Rudy has an amazing game last night.

16 points (career high and 3rd ont he team last night)
11 rebounds (tied for 1st)
4 assists (2nd on the team)
2 steals (1st on the team)
3 blocks (1st on the team)
11 FTs (1st on the team)
+6 (1st on the team)
Only 1 TO
Only 1 foul

Look at how fast he is growing. Literally huge steps right before our eyes...For example. Gobert started getting regular heavy minutes in January. For the 4 games he had a total of 2 assists and 3 steals. Then in the last 3 games he has averaged 3.3 apg and 2 spg while maintaining his bpg and rpg...his fouls per game have also dropped. The only thing that has dipped a little is his ppg over the last 3 but he came back with a career high in points last night.

No.

Karl screwed up in the clutch a few times, and he was less likable than Stockton. But Malone was way more valuable than Stockton. Malone was a beast.

I liked Stockton more back then too, but I've grown to appreciate just how good Karl Malone was.
I agree
Malone > stockton

Hey, I just found what Gobert's signature pose should be after a blocked shot. We all remember the Dikembe finger wag. Well, in keeping with the times, Rudy should just let the player know he shouldn't have shot, by giving the universal "Don't Shoot" pose.

Well done

Premature. There is a countdown thread going comparing Rudy to all the great centers of the Jazz past. How can Rudy be not quite as good as Memo or Ostertag, but as great as Malone?

Rushing to a declaration like this takes all the pleasure and enjoyment out of watching Rudy unfold before our eyes. Allow the process to play out, and wait until he is the greatest player since Malone. Which at the rate he is going should be sometime in early march.

No. I don't have to do what you tell me. I can declare Rudy great at anytime. I don't need a bunch of meaningless accumulative stats to tell me he's better than a bunch of scrubs no one even remembers even played for the Jazz.
