Tempurpedic vs Sleep Number

I bought a dynasty mattress off Amazon because it was like 1/ 10 of the price of tempurpedic and supposedly compared favorably to it.

It doesn't

Dang, I almost bought one of those. You don't like it?

I liked it alot at first..... very nice looking high quality mattress and felt great to lay on.
But it has already started to sag too much and I have not even had it for a year

Been sleeping on a tempurpedic mattress for about 7 years now - no complaints. Obviously a world of difference compared to a spring mattress.

Never did a sleep number bed - whenever my wife asks about one I tell her my sleep number is 69 and then wave my tongue at her. That's usually the end of the conversation.

Is your tempurpedic a memory foam mattress?

I just know that you need to stay away from memory foam. Nasty stuff for your back.

I've slept in three different mattresses in the past 5 years.

There's a brand called GreenSleep that sells 100% latex mattresses. Between the spring, and memory-foam mattresses I've tried out, the 100% latex (no spring) core has been the most comfortable for me by far. M
You also get the luxury of not constantly inhaling flame retardants, though some might not care about that.

My wife and I spent over a year looking for a mattress. She likes soft and I like firm. Sleeplikethedead.com was pretty helpful. We ended up buying and sending back a memory foam (Sam's club has a sweet return policy). We tried in the store several times sleep number, but even the most expensive models felt like sleeping on an air mattress. In the end we bought a natural latex. It feels soft, but has amazing support, so it works for both of us. It took about a month to get used to, but now when we travel we are always excited to get back to our bed (used to be the other way around). We've had it for 2 years, still have 23 more years on our warranty.

What brand is your mattress?

My wife's always inhaling retardant. She's just a foot from me in the bed.

is inhalin retardeds bad for my health dalabro?

It is, and unfortunately the regulation on it is non-existent.

Mattress companies will say that they have banned the use of "flame-retardant" in their mattress-- but what they mean is that they've banned a chemical that is known as "flame-retardant" in the industry.

They merely replace it with other VOCs that inhibit flammability, and are still noxious.
