2015-2016 season, what do the Jazz need to make an impact?

I think the one area that we are lacking is energy off the bench. I am not saying that that alone will propel us to the next level, but is definitely an area of much needed improvement. Does anyone have some ideas as far as to some FA signings, trades, etc??

I was thinking maybe trading Kanter for some assets that we can bring in off the bench. Financially we are looking pretty good to be able to sign a role player too.
 
There is no point in trading Kanter - at all. No team is going to give up anything of value for him and he`s gonna be here next season if someone does not throw an insane amount of money at him. If they do, we have cap space.

Keep Kanter and the rest of the players. If we want to skip a step, we could trade this year`s pick - or Exum - + Burke and Novak for Rubio. Either way, we`ll be better next year.

Without any trade:

Burke/Exum
Burks/Hood
Hayward/Draft pick
Favors/Booker/Kanter
Gobert/Kanter

With :

Rubio/(Exum or Burke)
Burks/Ingles
Hayward/Hood (or Draft pick if they want Exum for Rubio)
Favors/Booker/Kanter
Gobert/Kanter
 
It's been said before, we need a 3 and D guy. That or a point guard that is pass first, but can also hit an open spot up 3.

It makes no sense to keep a player that helps you lose games
 
This rebuild process has been proven a failure, time for Jazz Rebuild 2.0
Keepers: Favors, Gobert, Burks and Exum (too early to determine whether if he's a bust or not).
Valuable trade assets: Kanter+Gordo for a high 1st round pick+backup/mentor PG and/or a DMC type of player.
Find a reliable big man to come off the bench as well.

Rebuilding around Gobert could be the most exciting!

How is Gordo not on your keeper list? Isn't he the best player on the team by a substantial margin? And he's only 24 years old! How is trading him for a high draft pick going to help us?

We need shooters and guys that can create shots. I'd love for us to get a guy like Isiah Thomas. Add Thomas to a draft pick of either Johnson or hezonja and then we can roll.

I think phx will look to keep dragic which will get expensive... Don't know what it would cost for us to get Thomas but I think he could be had without giving up the farm.
