lol, God forbid I think the Jazz aren't playing well defensively if they're letting a team score 18 more points per 100 possessions than their average.

They are a team that is over ten games under .500. They are not good defensively. You expect them to be like Memphis on defense? Nobody is saying they are playing good defense or good offense. I just think they are playing hard and playing pretty well by their standards, which are much lower than that of Memphis's. The Jazz played pretty well by their standards, Memphis played pretty well by their standards. Memphis's pretty good is better than the Jazz's pretty good. They win.

Lol, God forbid I think the team played pretty well despite losing to a superior team.

Good Christ, sir. Go to Vegas if you think games are played on paper. The evidence of the opposing team's superiority manifests itself in many different ways, and varies from quarter to quarter, basket to basket, game to game, play to play. The Jazz are playing hard and playing well. I think most people would agree with me, along with Quin Snyder. You seem to think someone saying they are playing well means they are playing perfectly. If that is the case then no team ever plays well.

Wrong guy.

Don't know how many times I have to say it before it sinks in: In the first half, the Grizzlies scored 18 more points per 100 possessions than their average. They do not normally do this against inferior teams. Therefore, the excuse that "Memphis is a superior team" is not valid. Read this paragraph over and over until it sinks in.

In January, most of the time the Jazz held teams below their average per 100 possessions. As you can see, I'm not saying the Jazz played poor defense by a great defensive team's standard. I'm saying that, relative to their own standards and even factoring in that the Grizzlies are a good offensive team, the Jazz played poorly on defense. The Jazz were lazy on rotations and routinely got burned by losing their man off the ball.

They played as good as can be expected offensively, and in the 2nd half their defense picked up. But to say at halftime that they played well on defense, even by their own standards, is flat out wrong.

Kanter is our franchise player. JF's in purgatory.. and officially hell when it's made public and accepted league-wide.

Thought Kanter actually passed alright tonight. I saw him pivot to survey teh floor a couple of times to get a feel for where the double would come from so he would be ready to pass out. I liked that.
