If he wants out, he would probably pull a Monroe rather than risk signing an offer the Jazz would match.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them do some damage control and try to salvage the situation. Bad situation, but it may be possible to salvage by convincing him to play out the year and then sign and trade him in the offseason. He can see the writing on the wall as far as not starting on the Jazz, but he might be talked into finishing out the year if he believes we'll give him a trade in the offseason.
