This year has been better than I thought it would be from an entertainment standpoint and I'm not just talking about what has gone on off the court. Ultimately, the games themselves have been much more entertaining than I thought they'd be. There are a few reasons for this. Allow me to ennumerate:
1-Quin Snyder's influcence on this team has been pervasively incredible.
2-Gordon Hayward has been balling like a flat out bawse dog gangsta.
3-Rudy Gobert has been, as FishinJazz has so eloquently coined, eatin souls out there
4-Derrick Favors has Dat Jumper fallin! And that man's PER is top 15 league wide.

I've watched this season with a keen eye. I've seen everything from WAKE UP!!!!, GTime's Game winner vs the convalescing cavs, and the various Gobliterations, to "scurred" Dante, Hayward's ISO dominance, the UnderKanter temper tantrum, and the Trevor Booker "Do you believe in miracles" Shot. I like to think that my life time fandom, intelligence, 4 year degree (Graduated Magna C U M Laude . Just saying), and analytical eye have afforded me the prowess to speak with some weight. Disregard what I'm about to say at your own peril. But if your interested in the truth, then i'll say, figuratively, "come with me if you want to not die."

The Truth About the Draft
At least 9 teams in the NBA will finish with a record worse than ours, which means we are gonna have to get really lucky in the draft. Klay Thompson at 11 lucky or lottery ball lucky. It's just the way it is. Gobert, Gtime and Faves are only gonna get better and we are gonna get more healthy. I hear Booker from KU can stroke it. Maybe he's the shooter we desperately need. Maybe Stanly Johnson falls and becomes the next Ron Artest but with more of a 3 ball. I can tell you this right now, I'm not sold on Winslow from Duke. Can already tell you Winslow's a bust. Don't get your hopes up for that guy. How deep is this draft anyway? 8 deep? Damn. Snyder needs to be banished to the film room for the rest of the season and we need to bring back Ty. Hell, let Thee Jazz Fan, Hack, or PKM coach the team. They'll lose us more games than even Corbin would.

The big answer to our deficiencies is Mudiay or Russell. We need a star, and they star written all over them. I'm gonna make this very clear right now and don't forget it because it is the truth.

Russell is Steph/The Beard
Mudiay is DRose/Wadeish

Free Agency

This is going to be as short and not sweet as the free agent summer the Jazz are about to have. Our biggest signing is going to be someone like Tayshaun Prince or Ronnie Price

What We Know about the Team.

Some of you are not intelligent enough (Not gonna name names) to understand what is going on with the Jazz this year so I am going to tell you so you can stop throwing those changeups past your buddy at your local bar.

-Gtime is a legit second option. He's not quite a #1 but he's really good and there are really not many legit #1's in the league so it's not a knock on his game.

-Quin Snyder is a top 10 coach in the NBA. What seperates him from the other 20 is his ability to teach, foster relationships, and implement. Also, his attention to detail is elite.

-Favors is a legit 4 on a contending team, as long as you have the right parts of the puzzle around him.

-Kanter is sort of immature

-Favors Gobert front court is the future of the team and, along with being elite defensively, will be better offensively than most would expect.

-Hood is a bust. He's Wes Johnson. He's a shooter who can't shoot.

-Exum is not a bust. But he does not have top 30 player in the NBA potential. What concerns me most about Exum is his inability to shoot off dribble. It's gross to watch. My grandma could shoot better off dribble. Cy could shoot better off dribble. It's bad. Could be elite defensively, could get to the line at an elite level. Maybe he will one day, but he's gotta get the courage to actually drive the damn lane once in a while instead of waving the white flag way out there along the parameter.

-Ingles is gonna be on this team for the next 3-4 years, but will likely be a 10th to 11th guy on the bench

-Gobert will never be as good offensively as Tyson Chandler. Think about it.

Trey is a Backup PG. Don't care what anyone says. Just trust me on this one. He's a backup and after Kanter's departure, he'll become the most hated player among Jazzfanz posters.

Gotta go save the world. Help the goverment with some national security stuff. Champion singles awareness day on twitter (Still not quite over Rachel). Namaste B*tches.

Only reason hood might be a bust is due to being Injured not his ability to play.

I think Exum will be fine. If you think he can be elite defender and can get to the line at an elite level combine that with his already good passing ability and usable three point shot that means he could be a top 30 player in the league. Pretty sure if you have an elite defender, elite and getting to the line passing pg you are pretty damn good.

Gobert is already better than Chandler on offense. Thought about it and he is and will be.

Pretty sure Burke is already most hated player on this board or close to it, so nothing new there. I dont think he is a starter in the league unless he becomes a better shooter and a more willing passer. I do think he is young enough that maybe those things change though. But I think our future pg is Exum.

Jazz going to taper off winning since we have no depth and Hayward is getting worn down. Unless we make a trade deadline move we are not going to be winning at the same clip we have the last month. We are going to get around the 8-9 pick still though. I believe we will make the jump and get a top three pick.

If we keep Kanter in the offseason we will do almost nothing in FA. If we let him walk for nothing we will be very active in FA and get someone better than Ronnie Price (still my favorite player)

Tyson Chandler has never been an offensive player. Wtf world are all of these Jazz fans on that think Tyson Chandler comes off as this top 10 center of all time that has an all around game?

Hood a bust? he's hardly played.

Bring Ty back? Send Snyder to the film room? No thanks.

Good post. I even like the arrogant tone.

No mention of teh Burks. Fail

You graduated Magna *** Laude? That is pervasively incredible!

I'd have to disagree about Rudy being better on offense already. It seems as though Rudy's elite length might work against him on offense. Specifically, I am referring to the way Dallas uses Chandler and how Quin will try to use Rudy the same way. Chandler is better at not being stripped and is quicker when he dives to the hoop. I think Chanler's physical tools are better for this than Rudy's. Obviously, both are not offensive players but must be utilized in a certain way to make them a threat. Put Rudy on that Dallas team with Chandler and The latter would prove more efficient and better equipped for the offense role.

No mention of teh Burks. Fail

Currently, I just don't know what to make of Alec. An authentic conviction of Alec has eluded me ever since we drafted him. The most concrete statement I can make regarding him is that he yet has a chance to be a solid player on a solid team. I think he's a late bloomer and will make cerebral progession later than most.

Good post. I even like the arrogant tone.

Message boards are all about wearing masks and Ive found that strategic and bombastic arrogance demands more homage, prestige, and appreciation than my typical real world down to earth self. Batman is boring to hang out with. Bruce Wayne? Hell no.

Tyson Chandler has never been an offensive player. Wtf world are all of these Jazz fans on that think Tyson Chandler comes off as this top 10 center of all time that has an all around game?

Hood a bust? he's hardly played.

Bring Ty back? Send Snyder to the film room? No thanks.

First, see post 10.

As far as hood goes, he's a 21 year old rookie shooter who shoots below 30% from 3. those guys dont last long in the league. and on top of that, he's limited athleticly and has T-Rex arms. I know he's only played 30 games or whatever but I'm a realist. If it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck, it ain't a damn Mongoose.

Hood is not a bust. Way, way, WAY to early to pass any judgment one way or the other there.

Exum shows promise and I'm very hopefull for him.

Gobert is a beast. With a good passing PG his PPG could increase by 6-8ppg right off the bat next year.

Favors and Hayward. Enough said.

Burks is our 6th man IMO.

Burke eludes me. If he can get consistent and up his %s then we are in business.

Kanter is improving on D but he must improve his passing. No love his hunger on the boards and he is a great post threat on O.

Snyder has lived up to his billing in my opinion.

The future isn't bright it's blinding.
