I see. I think about it the same way. Plus Exum's injury is normally called a two year injury, so I see no problem in bringing him off the bench for 2 more years while he develops. Look at what happened with Hayward, coming off the bench for a couple years didn't hinder his development at all.

Yeah he got me too for the Conley thing... Only a few people do it. Usually when they are wrong and run out of facts or if they get their feelings hurt.

Covington is good, but not great.

12 is >>>>> 24 & 26.

This is a weak draft. Just take your top guy at 12 and be happy. If there's another guy that you want, buy a pick.

The contract for whoever the Jazz take at 12 is worth more than any of the assets they'd get back. Swing for the fences and take a boom or bust upside guy, then pray he's as solid as Hood, Gobert and Lyles.

Look at the history of the 10-14th pick or just the 12th... Covington by himself is likely better than what we get at the 12... He's also ready now and is on a cheap deal for two more years.

Hayward is so underrated on Jazzfanz. 70% of the community here wants to trade him. And I suspect 10% of the community here would trade him for a shovel and a 10 dollar gift card to Best Buy.

Teams that scout and draft well, like the Jazz, will almost always have solid options inside the lottery. I'd much rather have the Jazz hope the player they pick is as good (or better) than any of the players listed above. I'd take any of them over Covington right now, and whoever the Jazz draft will cost between $3-4 million per year on their first contract, with Bird rights and the option to match any RFA contract offers.
