The (way to early but who cares) 2017/18 NBA season predictions

NBA Champs: GSW d. CLE

MVP: Durant

MIP: Who cares?

ROY: Simmons (Mitchell comes in top 3 or 4 with Smith Jr. and Teodosic)

COTY: Snyder is top 5

Jazz get the 5th or 6th seed next to Minnesota and push their first-round series to 6 games.

NBA Champs - Warriors
MVP - Greek Freak
MIP - Aaron Gordon
ROy - Donovan effing Mitchell
DPOY - Rudy with Joe Ingles a close second
COTY - Snyder because I'm a damned homer okay

Jazz get the 5th seed and beat the Spurs in 7.
Rudy makes the all star team. He also sends 10-15 quotes/tweets that indirectly throw shade at Gordon.

Celtics disappoint and lose in the first round to Toronto. Gordon goes into a funk all summer and just plays computers... gains 50 lbs and his hairline recedes to a point he looks like Jeff Van Gundy. He goes with an obvious comb over which can't stay in place. He invest his NBA money into an esports franchise that eventually goes bankrupt. After the season the Celts beg us to take him and give all of their firsts to take him off their hands... we do it and turn him back in to captain America, but we trade him for Anthony Davis because we don't need him with DM around.

TLDR - Eff the celtics and Hayward.

End of season both Paul George and Carmelo leave the Thunder.
San Antonio finally retires Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli. Pau Gasol turns something like 38. Spurs realize they don't have enough talent to compete with the Jazz anymore.
Jazz draft both Jared Vanderbilt and Justin Jackson and become a top 3 team in the west next season, along with Golden State and Houston, winning 57 games.

MVP: Kawi
DPOY: Gobert
6th Man: Eric Gordon
COTY: Snyder
ROTY: Kuzma
Most Improved: Justin Holiday

Finals: Warriors vs Cavs

Champs: Warriors

Here are my predictions for the up-coming season:
BUMP.

1/4 of the way through...

NBA Champions: Golden State Warriors looks good, no challenges outside Lebron atm

Awards:

MVP: Kevin Durant no chance, has gone into full blow ****** mode. I hope LBJ can take it out this year.
Darkhorse: Blake Griffin no chance, couldn't stay healthy, even when healthy not as aggressive as I was predicting

DPOY: Rudy Gobert ill stick with Rudy although his year has been underwhelming, which I put down to chemistry issues with Rubio.

ROTY: Ben Simmons you know it! should have taken the 5/1 odds at the start of the year, was always winning this.

MIP: Thon Maker very disappointing year from my exceptions, struggling with playing time and continuity, still rake thin.

6th man OTY: Nick Young playing how I imagined but hasn't had enough playing time. Possible.

Leading Scorer: Kyrie Irving every chance

Coach of the Year: Quin Snyder every chance, although Stevens is probably leading that category tbh. Top 3... Stevens, Snyder, Brown

Other Predictions:

- Cavs don't make the finals entirely possible still but will depend solely on Lebrons willingness to play the Warriors in the finals again
- Jazz make the Playoffs (4th seed) chance, lower lows than what I was expecting. Rubio is complete let down.
- Houston and Minnesota have underwhelming seasons (5th-10th seeds) one right, one wrong
- 76's finish as a top 4 seed in the East yeh boi! All DAY!
- Rudy Gobert makes his 1st All-Star game I really hope so. Has a name around the league now his reputation will help him this year if no other Centers step up (Towns been super disappointing) and lets no kid ourselves. The Allstar game NEEDS Rudy Gobert!
- Quin Snyder finally gets a technical Pretty sure this is a tick already
- Rudy averages 20/20 for a month of the season Hope so, vast improvement in his offense needed. Needs to go back to catching everything and working on his chemistry with Rubio. Maybe after we move Favs??
- Ben Simmons averages a triple double for the season Oh yeh, my man. Big Benz! I take pride in this. Ya'll called me crazy and fair enough, no, he probably won't average a triple double for the year but come on... 18/9/7 over his first month in the league... DAMN!!! Already a top 20 player and one of the funnest guys in the league to watch, The Aussies on here must be salivating at the prospect of bringing home GOLD in 2020!!

Awards:

MVP: Durant

DPOY: Rudy Gobert

ROTY: Donovan Mitchell

MIP: Aaron Gordon

6th man OTY: Milos Teodosic

Leading Scorer: Irving

Coach of the Year: Snyder

Other Predictions:

Gobert gets considerations for MVP, maybe top 5
Jazz win 2 games against the Warriors in the second round
Rubio makes the all-star team but due to an injury
Exum doesnt play this year despite being cleared to play like Rose a few years ago
We have 7 players average over 10 points per game: Gobert, Hood, Rubio, Favors, Ingles, JJ and Burks. (last year we had 4)

Oof I missed on a few of these but I am still hopeful for ROTY and Coach of the Year. We do have 7 players averaging over 10 points a game but one is Hood and one is Crowder.

I hope I am wrong Exum getting cleared and not playing this year and I am guessing I will be wrong.

I guess Gordon could still get the MIP award. Although he has dropped off a bit and I dont think he will get it.

I think some of my Gobert predictions could have been true but he has missed too much time.

I really hope we win 2 against Warriors still though.

DPOY - Gobert
COY - Snyder
Jazz make the 5th seed and win their first round series.
Mitchell is playing 30 mpg by seasons end and averages 15 ppg
Hood barely loses MIP and closes in on 20 ppg
Utah is the best non "super team" in the league

3.5 out of 6 isn’t bad.
