What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Not sure why this person had any reason to lie to me. But, yes, he could have just made it all up.

There's always many sides to a story, so maybe from his vantage point he didn't like DL as a person or a GM.

OK! I'm back on the DL train!

He also said that Quin's entire office is covered in white boards and that he sleeps with one next to his bed too. Love that man.

So this didn’t happen at Best Buy?

Can you imagine Quin in his office after drinking a gallon of coffee with like 4 markers writing with both hands furiously then Igor(rip) or Alex coming in “hey Quin what you working on?”

Quin “Quiet! I think I just figured out how to play Ricky, Favs, and Rudy together”

I wonder if Ty had boxes of crayons all over his office.

You are discounting the fact that we lead the NBA in open 3 point shots per game in the playoffs. We didnt hit those open shots anywhere close to our averages. We created the shots we wanted and got in the regular season but didnt hit them, plain and simple. It is incorrect to say people could just stay home on their guy because they didnt. They left our shooters open and they missed.

Okay, so how does adding more shooting help that? Do we need more shooting? Or do our shooters just need to make shots? I think that it's the second one.

The fundamental problem is still a lack of shot creation. I don't know how anybody can dispute that. How many times this season were we in situation where we were completely reliant on Donovan to carry us offensively because nobody else can create for themselves and nobody could score in half court sets?

Shooters struggle from time to time. Open shots don't fall. That's when you need 2 or 3 guys who can create something out of nothing. We have 1 and it just doesn't get it done.

How come GS wins championships left and right.....by averaging about 30 assists per game? Because they are loaded with "shot creators?" NO! They pass the ball! They play team ball and they have guys that can consistently hit open shots both 2's and 3's! True, Durant can create his own shot, but even he knows winning basketball involves getting your teammates involved and trusting they will hit the open shot! Adding more "shot creators" is not the answer to the Jazz problems. There's only a handful of shot creators that do well, Harden, Curry.....and that's because they create there shot from about 40 feet away from the basket with uncanny accuracy! I say we let Rubio go.....and were back down to winning about 40 games at most! Keep Rubio and add a couple of good shooters.....we could hit 60 wins!

DL's press conference introducing Terry Rozier on a 4/60M contract and Gerald Green on a 3/15M...

"guys we did it!" throw in some quotes on playoff experience, Jazz DNA, bull dawgs, as well as some handpad balance test results... maybe mention how you think Terry could become our Tony Parker or some **** like he did with Ricky and Jason Kidd.
One of DL's new favorite words on the radio sales pitch is granular. He'll fit it in there somewhere. "The consistency of this situation is very granular and Terry really fits into that Jazz granular DNA. Granular. "-DL. "What does that mean?"-Andy Larsen. "Well Andy, it's quite a unique situation a....and....granular."-DL

Are you serious?

Gsw moves the ball well but you got 5 guys who can shoot. Their shooters averages from 3 are really good... you have to cover 5 players at all times. Cept dray has been bad.

Well Snyder cheated on his wife with a girlfriend of one of his college student athletes at Missouri, so if you dislike DL for being a dick....

Really? I thought he was saying glandular.

We are accumulating granular data to look at the macro in a grand-ular way Andy... so I'll just say this... are we looking at the granular? yes... are we looking at the grandular? yes...
