Jazz sign Bojan

Put me down on record as this is a bad deal

Cant believe the love for this.

Not one of you even had Bojan on your radar his entire career and now all of sudden you act like we just signed the biggest free agent ever.

13/3/1 for his career folks.

Those last two numbers are horrible. Not average. Horrible. 13 ppg can be accomplished by any player in the league.
Except for Derrick Favors, who only averaged 11.6 in his career and doesn't shoot 3's. Opportunity, NPC, opportunity. Favors is never a primary option and doesn't get the touches. Same holds true for Bojan, except when Oladipo went down and he average > 20 pts/per.

I'll take his 46%/39% any day. And you may have missed that he has improved his scoring average EVERY YEAR to his current 18 pts. That shouldn't be too difficult to replicate if he plays 30+mins/per, which he should. Also, his shooting percentages were career highs two years ago and then he surpassed them last year while carrying more of a scoring burden. We're getting a guy in his PRIME!

theory wise I wouldn't call it BS. since Bojan doesn't provide much of upgrade to areas in which we've been pretty good at already. we are only as strong as our weakest link. in oder to truly be contending for a title, we still need to address our greatest weaknesses in athleticism and switch defense. but yeah, barring anything dramatic such as Conley or Rudy going down with injuries, we should be looking at a pretty good season accompanied by a deep playoff run.

If Zanik can clear Exum for some other value pieces then we’ve hit the trifecta.

Guys to target now:

JaMychal Green
Ed Davis
Tyson Chandler
Ed Malloy
Vince Carter
DeMarre Carroll
Trevor Booker

I have been pushing for an aggressive front office for years. This offseason was a great example of an aggressive offseason. We went and completed a trade which was risky due to the player's age, contract and the cost. Also, we let a former franchise player go so we can sign a current NBA great player to a well compensated deal.

We recognized that we had a center in his prime and an up and coming NBA superstar maybe. So we are going for it. Kudos to the Miller family, DL, Zanik and the entire organization.
