Paul George and Kawhi to the Clippers

i hate lakers but this is too much. kawhi really did them dirty this time. scheming with clippers this whole time to get the PG trade done while keep Lakers hanging to make sure that they are completely out of the equation in FA

This is not what happened

I felt the Clippers were still looking like a possibility, despite everyone saying Toronto or Lakers. They really were the only ones to keep their traps shut. That George deal is an amazing haul for Presti. Clippers are looking like a top three team now. Lolkers.

I'm stunned, just speechless, that OKC would gift-wrap Paul George to the Clippers for picks. Just a spineless, dickless move, considering PG was under contract for 3 years.

This is like Memphis sending Pau Gasol to the Lakers years ago.

Huh?
He had 1+1 (PO) remaining
Great haul for OKC

So what move could he have made that did NO ONE dirty?

Like, if you're gonna do a team dirty who deserves it the most?

west is bloodbath. no way we can achieve smth. next 4 years will be mediocre for the jazz.

Yeah, Jazz probably squeak into 8th seed, right?
Probably not even 8th. Stupid Lindsey and Zanik. We should have sold Mitchell to the Clippers for that haul and Gobert to the Celtics. Time to rebuild. There's just no hope.

Sarcasm Alert: the above post is not serious.

West was always going to be a bloodbath. Lakers had they gotten Kawhi would have been amazing. They'll still be good. I think it comes down to Clippers and Jazz in Finals. EC will be exciting to watch: Bucks, Sixers and Cetics are probably a toss up.

Clips/Utah is going to be fun next year. Unlike the Lakers, the Clippers have some depth still, but Utah is superior there. Those are going to be defensive grinds, but fun I think.

Lakers....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO*breath*LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

I feel for them raptors, but this clippers roster on the western conference, i'm not sure it really scares me more than what could be the raptors roster on a posible nba finals.

Clippers look good, but so do we. This really does nothing but makes the Clippers viable contenders, but I don't think they're really better than Utah at this point. We do have weapons to counter George/Kawhi (as much as anyone can). That said, we still have top end talent of our own and better depth. This is going to be a fun year.

Plus is literally screwed the Lakers, so that's always a bonus. I feel for Toronto. They didn't get Hayward'ed insomuch that Kawhi didn't really lie to them like Lord Voldemort did to Utah. However, that still has to sting. They did get some rings out of a it, so there is that though.

I mean, the Lakers depth sucks, but they still have the best duo in the NBA.

I know everyone is shocked but I still think the Jazz have just as good of a chance to beat both LA teams. I have to wait and see how the Lakers complete their roster. Right now I like our overall depth over both LA teams.
I think the top 6 teams are all on a fairly level playing field in the West.

(Blazers, Jazz, Lakers, Clippers, Rockets, Nuggets)

Lakers are one injury away from the lottery and don't frighten me in the least. I personally think Davis might be kind of overrated (how much playoff success has he had despite good teams around him?) and LeBron is getting older. Dude still puts up phenomenal numbers, but he can't be the workhorse he once is. Lakers are a glass house built on quick sand.

Lol @ everyone in here who is overrating how good this makes the Clippers. They will be good yes but they are in no way unstoppable or unbeatable. They gave up a ******* lot to add PG.

Also a MASSIVE ******** LMFAO @ the Lakers for striking out on PG AND Kawhi in back to back off seasons and watching as the Clippers of all teams get them. Juicy juicy juicy.
They gave up two players to get two HOF'ers in their primes.

(and picks ofc, but that doesnt make them a worse team). They still got a lot of what they had from last year.

And i saw comparison between kawhi and hayward, well, i'd say 2 ir 3 things, kawhi weren't drafted there and took 6/7 years to really reach all-star level and than said goobye on a players tribune love letter to his college coach, when they got him, it was well said that he wanted la, indeed he were profesional there and paved their way to the promised land, listened to their pitch on free agency. Another thing that stands, is that raptors would'n have cap to add really much to their team, unless they went reaaally creative on some sign and trades. All they had were the full mle anyway, and they still have their players to trade for something and start some rebuild if they want.

Haywood on the other end dragged us to have a lot of cap to being stuck on the udoh, thabo, jerebko type of deals, cause any posible contributor like gallinari, or send some overpay for otto porter (that we could work to be some s&t) were out of the table by the time he left, and that after we spent a lot of picks trying to turn up to competitive mode, instead of clearly stating "i'm going out" so at least we could had not thrown exum under hill rental and mack (and problably at least know more of what he's capable or not instead of giving him his actual contract based on expectation but fully unknown if we may be able of getting something out of it), let favors focus on get his back healed way sooner instead of trying him to play through painkillers whenever posible for more than a year, get more for hood than merely crowder, and get something of his *** on a trade, instead of losing assets to let him go for nothing (as previously stated). In reality, if it wasn't for the real strike that Mitchell were on the draft, we'd be condemned to be tanking right now.

A lot of teams are one injury away from the lottery.

If Gobert tore his acl in game 7 the Jazz probably dont make the playoffs. Same for the Rockets and Harden. Or Nuggets and Jokic. Or Thunder and Russ.

Utah is more built to withstand a minor injury that LA is my point. Utah has depth enough to compensate for a typical sprains and pulls during the normal course of a season that LA. No team is really built to lose top end talent for a season, but being able to hold serve is important (i.e. around .500). Say Utah loses Mitchell due to a sprain for a few weeks, we can still beat a few teams while he's out because we still have guys like Conley, Bogey, Royce, and Gobert to help carry some of the load. Lakers have.... Yeah.

yeah, they have a pretty good team there, but they may need to give pg and kawhi some rest - what they may be able to do, since they have enough depth and firepower, more than a posible lakers big3, and the lakers duo has now - and are not a superteam as the big 3 of lebron, kawhi and ad are, so i'm good with it. and i also believe Rudy may dominate that paint if all they have there is zubac and harris
