Regarding development, I think there is a portion that is “increasing your market value”. If Mudiay plays in a well structured system, and ends up with attractive stats, then other teams see he’s a worthy investment.
Also, Watching the videos in this thread, many of Mudiay’s highlights are tough shots, buzzer beaters, and such. And on a couple of occasions, the announce is saying “Mudiay was 5 for 24 before that shot”. (And Similar). So I think Mudiay market value goes up if he just plays system ball and proves he can be a reasonable asset instead of the “chucker on the crappiest team in the league”.
