What's new

Jeff Green will be..

our whipping boy.

Yup. For every great play, he’ll make an infuriating one, just like he’s done every stop in his career. He’s made his way based on the potential he had a young player.

If NBA2k20 is any indicator, I’m already biased against him. (Though It has me cautiously optimistic for Exum and Mudiay. Although it also has Rudy shooting 3’s...)

Marshall didnt have much of a motor and was in the prime of his career. Marshall also had super long arms but he wouldnt be able to play center either. (I know different era)

Obviously they are different players, but Marshall seemed to be able to putty over gaps and fill needs without needing to be featured. He didn't need to be an All-Star or even close to it. He played just above the level of roleplayer though.

Green will be:
1. The most frustrating player on the team. Super talented, but not consistent.
2. The best in game dunker on the team.
3. The X factor. If his defense and rebounding are good in the playoffs, Jazz will win the trophy.

Green will be the Jazz's "LeBron stopper." *wishful thinking/cautiously optimistic emoji here*

Kawhi Leonard has likely already "stopped" James by simply choosing to opt for the Clippers rather than the Lakers. It is a choice that may end up sinking both of those teams in May. Leonard and James would have had the best of both worlds by teaming up, because both of them are an injury risk. They could have managed each other's rest to the tune of 65-70 games a piece on their way to the finals. But now they both have to jockey for playoff seeding with a lot more minutes in the competitive west, and hope for good health.

Got it, fair point

I heard that Bogdonavich was good against Lebrob when Indiana played them to 7 games 2 years ago. I didnt watch the series, but fwiw that's what I heard

...one of our most consistent players and he'll be a good influence on the younger guys. He strikes me as high character and intelligent and he'll be on the court during close games in the closing minutes.

Jeff has been good through two preseason games. He can provide the same shooting Crowder did with more ability off the dribble and in the open court. Doesn’t look to fight people every night which will be missed... Jeff is the starter as of right now... experienced and he has earned it with his play.

I hope everyone is available for at least a half tomorrow. I’m dying to see Rudy with this group.

I don’t even care, tbh. The players who cannot be stopped are simply that, and it is a mistake to present an opposing player as if he provides that quality.

Bogey cannot be left unguarded on the perimeter, period. That is why he os going to kill it for us.

Lol... your answer to elite players is to not defend them. K

Jeff Green will be Hall of Famer thanks to his multiple rings of NBA champion won with Utah.
