Matt Lauer cleaning the chocolate chimney

Your subject line is rather inappropriate, no? It appears the woman may have been anally raped and you find it okay to make light of it?

In any case, I find her timeline of what allegedly occurred to seem unlikely. She claims he anally raped her but then goes on to say they essentially had consensual relations after that? What woman would be raped and then decide to have relations with the man thereafter? Transactional or not.

She willingly went to his room twice and then had an affair with him for a while after that. **** that.

The subject line takes into account what you just wrote.

he chose to have affairs. He wasn’t forced. If he didn’t want his marriage wrecked he shouldn’t have wrecked it.

What percentage of people lose their careers over affairs? I'm not saying Lauer isn't a creep, he very well may be, but this whole thing is primarily predicated on this woman and I don't find her credible at all.

over affairs? Very low. Over affairs with someone in the workplace? Probably a lot higher. I’m not arguing her credibility. But I am rejecting the notion she did this to him. He did this to himself.
Don’t want to risk your job? Don’t start banging people at work. Don’t want to risk your marriage? Stay loyal to your spouse.

Not gonna lie, I’m surprised by your defense of him.

The issue is not that he had an affair. I agree he's a fool for taking that risk. But his life has been completely ruined over what sounds very much like a consensual affair. People don't lose their jobs over consensual affairs.

Oh yeah, totally his fault. It’s not like he’s been accused by someone else of sexual harassment...

he did this to himself.

Dude strikes me as a creep, dont think he should have been fired tho

Edit

Aleays thought there was something off about him.

I agree, he's probably a creep. But he lost his career over this and the evidence seems suspect. Just the fact that he didn't fight for his honor casts a pall on his character though.

Probably just the tip...

of the Iceberg.

It sounds highly believable to me, and similar to many other testimonies of both rape and the things women experience afterwards.
I'm with OB on this. It sounds in line with what women deal with after a traumatic experience like this. There is confusion as to how to handle it combined with a state of shock and a continuation of whatever sort of relationship they have while they process it all. Sometimes they snap out of it when they see it happen to someone else. When it happens to you for some reason people rationalize it or hide it. When it happens to someone else you see it from a different perspective and it opens up all of those memories.
I'm not saying it did happen, but combined with Anne Curry and other people's comments I see this as in line with what could have happened. Honestly, I lean towards believing her over Lauer with what little I know.
