Brodie’s, just sorta playing along with the theme
hou wasn't leaving ingles open on purpose, many of his shots were either being set up by ball movements or simply heavily guarded. rubio shot horribly because of who he was. their cases serve as no excuse to niang's underwhelming shooting in that playoffs series.Because Utah was cold and was missing shots. Houston's defense was a risk and it paid off for them. Utah just wasnt confident after those first two games were they played terribly. Ingles shot 28% from 3 in that series as well and he had plenty of wide open 3's. Same with Royce who shot 31% on nearly all open 3's. Houston's D would have backfired if Utah just shot how they usually shot on those open 3's. They just got unlucky.

if he really was a legit knockdown shooter like you suggested, why didn't he play like one?
you can cite his g-league or college numbers all you want, but as a jazz fan, i only care about his performance when it really matters. how hard is this for you to understand?
gosh, let me repeat myself again. You are a ****ing moron who has no recollection of the Houston series.

Ingles had 4 WIDE OPEN attempts per game in that series and shot 20%. He had 1.4 "open" 3's a game and made 57% of those. He shot .4 contested 3's a game and made none.
Niang had 2 wide open 3's a game and made 30% of them. He had .4 open 3's a game and made 50% of them.
Sometimes players just have bad series.
And yes, games players play in matter. It's why teams pay people money to go and scout these games. It's like they are indicators or something.
Make Linzanity emperor if this got pulled off. Some second round picks moving around in this one.

We honestly just need 10 minutes of solid D from a backup guy. Gobert can go 36 in the playoffs and someone else can get spot/blowout minutes. I see a lot of dudes that can give us 10 minutes, many of which we’ve named. I’d like to see Biyombo bought out, but that usually happens with established guys looking to win... so it’s likely neither side has a buyout on their radar. And honestly, we’re probably the only contending team that could use him (off the top of my head).I do think part of our issue is we will need to pay the premium to get a more established guy... I don't think we'd trade for a guy like Christian Wood that is seen as more of a developing player. I think it has to be a clear upgrade over Davis/Bradley. So Baynes is definitely a contender, but those guys will get more when/if they become available.
I poo poo'd @infection on Bismack Biyombo (if he was bought out)… I would actually go for that... he is an effective rim protector... his hands and turnover would drive me crazy.
I think TB has improved, but I don't think Tony is a guy you want to have in the rotation in the playoffs. I think Morgan could develop into that small ball center that would be better in matchups with the LA teams and the Rockets. Niang may be the other guy that can't play in the playoffs, but his shooting might be good enough he can hang. The second unit is different now that JC is using so many of those possessions.
Another potential buyout guy might be Nene... but there is a very good chance he is completely washed.

Guys who can give a good 10 minutes repeated for those in the back:
1. Noah.
2. Bogut.
3. Udoh.
4. Willie Reed.

He's playing on the best team in the Australian league. He looked like he leaned out a bit last year. I think he'd still be effective in our system and would provide some resistance around the rim.Can Bogut even run?
