2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

GRIII is intriguing. I believe in the 20 year theory. That is, if you do something hard for 20 years at something you can become an expert in your field. GRIII is nearing the 20 year mark due to growing up around basketball. Plus he has a ton of skills. He can be a good backup option if Jordan Clarkson leaves.

The only big downside is that it takes Niang's insanely hot shooting off the floor. I am not sure I want to do that. But the perimeter defense in the 2nd unit would improve.

Niang is only insanely hot some of the time. The rest of the time, his lack of defense and rebounding are a problem if he's not on the floor with Rudy.

Why would Udoh come back ? I think it's a long shot all you mofos will have to join his book club for him to even consider

He wants playing time. We have it. The only downside is that we can't pay him anything more than the minimum.

If I was JZ/DL, I would trade Ed Davis for a recently created trade exceptions that way we can use it to sign a player with it within the next year or whenever it expires.

This is on in about 5 minutes on ESPN2, though I doubt they'll mention anything about the Jazz.

I can't figure out if they're buying or selling. They might not even know tbh lol

100% don't spend a lot of time wondering... they don't know if they are buyers or sellers... I also don't think we should worry about things like "plans"... they don't ****ing know.

With Oubre, the Suns will have around $20 million in cap space for next season. Without him, they would have a max contract spot.

Seems like without Oubre, the Suns are banking on Booker, Rubio, Ayton and Bridges to be their identity going forward. Pretty thin to say the least unless they have a clear target for max space. But 2020 is a bad free agency year...

So some saying Lakers offer to NY for Morris includes Green... that seems like a strange move... Danny is a guy I’d want if I was trying to win a championship.

I sure as hell wouldn't swap what Green gives you for what Morris is. But the salary matching almost requires this, no?

I agree. Very interesting for sure. And I'm not sure what NY would want Green and his $15+ next season.

I'm usually able to find these things, but I'm sure one of you guys might know. Do we have a trade exception of any sort? Did we get one in the Favors deal or the Exum deal?

We took back more salary on Exum, so not on that one. Not sure about Favors. Good question. It might have been used on the Conley deal if there was one.
