What's new

Rudy has Covid 19

Here's how to get tested for free in the United states: go give blood. They HAVE to test you for it before you give blood

If I were the league, I'd be figuring out which hotel the Jazz stayed at in New York, Boston, Detroit and Cleveland, which planes they chartered, and who prepared the team's meals.

New Rochelle, NY is 25 minutes from downtown and is one of the hot spots.

All this tracing of contact may be fairly irrelevant very soon other than for academic purposes. The fact that Rudy and Mudiay have it, from an angle, can be positive if we realize it’s already here and its incidence is already much higher than thought. Bigger issue, from my view, would be downstream effects of those needing intensive care.

1 thing we know is the nba is done for at least 2 weeks. Probably 3. Teams will probably play in empty stadiums the rest of this year.

testing is expensive as hell here. I’m hearing accounts of $500-$600 with insurance and $1,500+ without.

and that’s if you meet the criteria of:

recently traveled abroad and/or been in contact with someone who has been confirmed sick with it.

ridiculous. Soooooo many more people are sick with this thing.
WTF!! Why would it be so expensive? Aren’t we trying to stop the spreading of this virus? A lot of people won’t get tested because of $$.

Even if he doesn’t die I read that the severe cases can have long recoveries and have long term effects on lungs... which given his profession would be not good. Hope like hell he and the other team personnel are healthy. This **** is scary and people taking it lightly very well may end up feeling as dumb as Rudy dies for the mic joke.

Our expectation is that our 48 bed ICU unit will be full of coronavirus patients within 14 days. Im surprised we are not training more nurses in the use of respirators at the moment. We are expecting massive staffing shortages.
