What's new

I'm glad we played our sharp shooter Jordan Clarkson the most minutes tonight. What a brilliant performance of 5-15 and 1-7 from the 3. Truly a phenomenal player that deserves the most minutes
Here's another great stat. Guess what Clarkson is shooting over the last 5 (FIVE) games from 3? 15.86% LMAO. Yeah, he deserves to be played the most minutes on the team

Yeah we are definitely making a move.

Doesn't matter if it's selling or buying. The last thing we want is to miss the playoffs and give OKC our 11th pick in the draft.

We need to get significantly better OR worse to get off this treadmill right now.

OK I get they are showcasing Clarkson, to the detriment of the team tbh, but playing Kessler only 14 minutes tonight was criminal, regardless of the scheme.

Kessler was +4 and Collins was -7 which has been the pattern with these 2 all season long. Yes I will concede that Kessler has a few warts esp when it comes to his aggressiveness and poor FT% but they are generally a better team with him on the floor.

Hadn't read this game thread or most this month. So sorry if this is already a thing.

I'm still a Hardy supporter, but is he trying to stealth tank with vets or trying to get fired? Cause it's the only thing that's made sense, not just this game but several games now.

Clarkson has been struggling and somehow getting more and more minutes, he's closed out the 1st and 2nd half playing 17-18 straight minutes.....

Hardy preaching defense, rebounding and hustle and Kessler and Dunn play about 5-6 minutes in the 2nd half........

KO had a better game tonight then in a bit and I'd been begging to reduce his minutes in games he's struggling then tonight he gets taken out early in the 4th.....

I can't believe all these things are being done out of ignorance or incompetence, but for the life of me I can't find the logic, other then tanking by overplaying vets.

Send Clarkson somewhere he will be held accountable for his subpar play. It will never happen with this Jazz, and it's a huge problem. He needs shorter leash

No worries dude, still plenty of February left.
Bah, it's February isn't it.

I post like Hardy substitutes.

With no awareness and no real thought.

Actually I did have another thought, maybe he relies a lot on the assistant coach or coaches and these new assistant coaches are the problem.

We have to understand that JC is on the trade block, and is getting this much burn even he sucks. Ainge has to had ordered this, bc if not, then Will Hardy is a push-off that is afraid to bench him when it clearly is losing ball like last two weeks.

Sexton had an amazing first quarter.
Horrible second quarter.

1st quarter was not amazing. That's why he got pulled early. He started off with the plays that drive Hardy crazy. Driving into the trees without looking around. 1st was a turnover and 2nd was getting blocked. He had some better offense after that but combined with poor defense and rotations he was coming out early.

Give 76ers credit they played very physical. They fouled a lot and the refs weren't calling much, so you keep it up. They frustrated the Jazz a lot. They also were super hot from 3 especially early which makes it hard. A lot of effort to come back and then just watch them make a deep 3.

This is the Clarkson experience he's a streaky shooter. But he did have 10 assists and only 1 turnover.

Unfortunately he's getting too many minutes and asked to do too much because we don't have a good enough guard to push him to less minutes. Hardy doesn't have a lot of options. Clarkson should be a 25ish minute player a game who's asked to score.

Kessler needed more minutes but it's not like the team was great in his minutes and it wasn't a great matchup for him. If he has to stay on the wing on defense he's not very helpful. I would have a played him more but I can see why we didn't.

Sexton is so frustrating because when he does things right he can play really well. He has great scoring instincts. But coach yelled at him multiple times to get in position and he looked confused on offense and defense at those times. I do like that him and Collins are developing something on offense. He's like Clarkson though you just have to let him do his own thing on offense.
