Very low chance it happens. I don't like absolutes.
Didn’t Mitchell basically say he only wanted to play in NY, and Cleveland
Dude, this is a message board, not Twitter. You don't have a limit on characters.

adding characters ad hoc to not look terribly hypocritical. Is this more than the limit?
um why?that covered all of what needed to be said. Did you want an essay? Lol

I’m curious if you have any insights as to why this is? I can imagine it’s at least partially because of a renegotiate and extend, but also because his family likes it here, he believes in Danny, etc. Or are there other reasons as well?
I think you got the main reasons in your post

Yeah. When something simply doesn't make sense, you get tired of the "He wants to be here" mantra. I mean you never hear about 27 year old All Star level guys who are headed to free agency and have never been in the playoffs... insisting on remaining on a tanking team, wasting his time and prime, playing with a godawful roster where he's at the mercy of a bunch of me-first gunner kids, most likely standing in the corner.

It's just unfathomable.

You can post that and it can be your opinion but that opinion would be much more valid if you post some examples.

Like are there a lot of guys who have never had max deals in their career who left a huge amount of money behind so they could go to a different team? Which by the way is a team in salary cap hell that did nothing last season and then lost one of their main core guys and whose other core guys are only getting older and not better.
Warriors finished 5th in their division and 10th in the Western conference and missed the playoffs lol.

I will wait for your examples

@Handlogten's Heros is a Certified Tax Preparer. He DEFINITELY knows numbers better than you and I.
Yeah!!! I passed that 2 week HR Block class in under 9 weeks!!! I know my **** and definitely not just picking a random *** number out of a hat for the tone watch. Tone watch is down to 1.37% btw... refinance now... rates may never be lower.

Donny never really gave us a list. We should thank him everyday for not being a dick about wanting out. Thanks Donny

There is more to life than making the playoffs. He gets his bag of cash. He can be a big part of the reason we make the playoffs in the future instead of riding shotgun with some other franchise. Also, he doesn't have to move the family. I'm sure the losing may get frustrating at times this year but he seemed to have the right attitude about things last year and doesn't seem burnt by the franchise.

Money seems to be a motivating factor for Lauri. He feels slighted that he had to sign a 4/67M deal last time he hit FA. We can give him 24M extra this year for nothing which is almost half of what he’s made the last 3 years.

Woah! I thought you were probably a Liberty Tax guy or one of those video helpers when people get stuck on their Turbo Tax returns. I would have never guessed you made the big leagues with H&R.

C.R.E.A.M.

Security was always the #1 factor imo. Even if he wants out go on ahead and get the bag first. I do think he is built a little different in that he wants to be the reason his teams are successful and not necessarily just join up with a bunch of guys. I think he wants to build something and likes that we have faith in him. I think the market also makes sense for his family life. Personally I would hate living in SF with kids. There are some surrounding areas that are cool but getting in and out of the city is a nightmare sometimes and there is just so much crime and homelessness. Its really depressing. Its just a lot to take in as far as a change.

Dubs going cheap azz on us.
It's like the whole Knicks/Donovan situation 2.0.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us talking to Dubs all summer only to pivot and seal a deal with the Spurs the last min.

Honestly it would have been a done deal 100% if the Spurs is willing to give up Vassell.
