Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

Orange man wouldn't have needed to The trial was over and sentencing was all that was left. Joe is just trying to make sure his own corruption doesn't come back to bite him. They're all the same

To be honest I don't think Biden is at all corrupt, in the sense of being motivated by financial gain. I do think he has engaged in various cover ups for his son Hunter who i reckon is most likely a *****erg of unimaginable proportions and likely can't go a month without doing something remarkably stupid. A life of privilege combined with a fair slice of feeling inadequate when compared to his dead brother, i bet the bloke is a real treat. I mean screwing his dead brothers widow is like next level ****ed. Biden using his position to cover for his son while being ethically questionable as a public official is a fairly standard action of a father. Does it make it right? Probably not

Raises the question, can a new president rescind or reverse a pardon from a previous president? Let's say the way this is worded basically every single crime he did or may have committed (damn near anything he thought about committing, ****'in hell), but then 6 months from now it surfaces that he killed someone, and evidence is available, during this period for which he was pardoned, could the new president rescind that pardon? Or could he just outright say "nah, **** that ****, take that pardon back"?

Ok ok, I googled. One of the top results was this, strangely seemingly from a UK blog, but has relevant info. Looks like it would eventually end up in the Supreme Court to make this decision, as presidential pardons have been revoked in the past, but not delivered, so not officially completed, whatever that action looks like. But in the case of a completed pardon, it is possible for the new president to revoke it, and it would be appealed and likely end up at the Supreme Court. Would the SC support Donald Trump in such an action? Hmm.

Biden can pardon all he wants, Hunter will be behind bars for a new crime within 24 months.

eh i'm a lot more dubious when it comes to his rellies collecting money from various parts of the world for ?? probably leveraging the family name. Whether Joe knew about it much or not we'll prob never know You're right about Hunter tho, piece of work for sure

I just find it unlikely. Biden could have retired any time in the last 20 years and made tens of millions a year sitting on boards of fortune 500 and defence contractors and never worked another day in his life. People like him aren't driven by money, they're driven by power and ego, maybe even a sense of duty? (He was pretty tight with John McCain) Now did his drug addicted son leverage the family name OS to earn a quid? Almost certainly, but then again he's been leveraging his family name since he was a kid, he supposedly says in his book he's been a drug addict since his teenage years, the tonnage of skeletons in the boneyard would be huge.

And went into a room full of half or fully naked underage girls ON PURPOSE and then bragged about it publicly.
Trump is going to end democracy as Democrats pushed in emergency changes to advantage themselves in elections. Trump is going to weaponize the DOJ to get his political enemies as he's being prosecuted by the DOJ. Trump was once in a room where beauty contestants were changing while Joe Biden went into a shower with his fully naked daughter who wrote about the incident that she thinks she was molested. Hunter Biden had pics of underage girls who he'd had sex with and wrote to his sister about being lovesick over one of them. The bat signal does less projection.

Yes, it does. NBC News reported that pardoning Hunter was always on the table, and that Joe Biden and advisors agreed he would say he would not pardon Hunter.
The Biden crime family is going to get away with it, but 48 more days and America can move on.

I’ll never believe anything Biden did can compare with everything that Trump got away with. “I will be your retribution” really doesn’t sound like we’ll be “moving on”. Esp. if Patel is the FBI director. Patel sounds like confirmation of “retribution”.

Smith put his case back together, a strong case as resubmitted, IMHO, following the SC’s presidential immunity “clarification”, but I think the SC likely made it far easier for Trump to exact retribution. Maybe he’ll rise above his desire to rewrite history to justify his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, maybe he’ll rise above his desire for a clearly unjustified revenge against patriotic citizens wanting to hold him to account for trying to be above the law, but I have no good reason to believe he’ll be “the better man” as you suggested.

History is going to have to judge all this. But, since the winners usually write the histories, no guarantee that our future high school history texts won’t state: “Although Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 presidential election, subsequent investigation revealed that, in fact, Trump won the 2020 election that Democrats stole, through massive fraud”. I hope history texts in 2060 don’t read like that, since I imagine fascism of an Americanized authoritarian version will be the underlying situation behind such text revisions.

What are you guys going to do when Trump doesn't become a dictator like you all swore he would? Will you celebrate or move the goalposts?

He already wanted to use the military on peaceful demonstrators during his first term so I'm pretty confident he's itching for it and this time he'll do it. I mean what's the next step for guy who brainwashed his followers into attacking the Capitol in hopes of remaining in power?
