Following Potential 2025 Draftees

If we draft Fears, got to think Collier or Keyonte gets dealt on draft night for another pick in the late teens/early 20s.

The only part of drafting Fears that would make me hesitant would be Collier being undercut pretty bad by it. Would feel bad for him after he played decently well to end the year. Reminds me of the Cavs drafting Garland a year after drafting Sexton. But I think the talent is too good to pass with Fears.

Think Key would be much more likely to be moved than Collier, but Key also doesn’t have to strictly be an on ball player. As long as we move Sexton there will be minutes and touches for everyone, but I’d agree that a Key trade would be much more likely with Fears in house.

It's kind of feeling like a Fears/Riley draft. I think we like both of them and they should both be available with our picks.

Fears is like the ultimate buzz guy. Everyone is interested and linked to him. I wonder if that’s just how his camp has approached the process? I honestly don’t see as much buzz for Tre. But I see more fans for Tre.

Good stuff in this interview:
** Tony thinks VJ likely has a floor at #4 to Charlotte, thinks VJ goes at 3 or 4.
** He thinks Tre Johnson is likely at the top of the Jazz’s board at #5.
** He thinks Tre, Fears, Kon and Ace are likely ahead of Maluach on the Jazz’s board, but that Maluach would enable the Jazz to reset their timeline if they don’t want to pay Walker.
** Tony compares Kon to Desmond Bane, which is a comp Sam Vecenie has used. Tony thinks Kon is a very solid shooter and passer at the 2-guard, who has some potential to post up other 2s.
** Tony thinks the Jazz might swing on Ace’s upside.
** Tony likes Fleming and Newell at 21. Also thinks Clifford is a standout. Also mentions Demin and Traore.
** Tony sees high upside in Will Riley, thinks he was the best Freshman at Illinois.

Jazz could also be setting up a serious smokescreen for anyone who wants Fears in the 6-9 range
I'm telling you... Danny is so excited to do his little dance he loves where he moves back a spot or two based on intel and seemingly gets a heist.

I have no idea what to make of the second workout. I really think we might have a decent trade back option and want to make sure we like Fears or Khaman or whoever may be outside the main consensus guys.

Mike Miller is Fears agent I believe and that kinda gave me a little boost to Fears. I have no idea why because all I can remember is him repping Paolo but in my mind it made me rethink my stance on him.

Let's say 1-4 is Flagg/Harper/VJ/Kon, then Utah trades 5 to New Orleans. NOLA takes Ace at 5, then Washington takes either Tre/Malauch/Fears. If Fears is the real target, that would be kind of scary because I'm not sure which way Washington would go at 6.
